The way breakfast was served. And nobody answers when you ring the bell.

Breakfast was served at reasonable times; I liked that I had a separate entrance to the room and also to the house in general. The spacious parking was close to the room. Free Wi-Fi was very convenient and also having a microwave in the room. There was a heater and electric blanket, which I appreciate for very cold days or nights. The duvet on the main bed was clean, warm and comfy, same with the pillows. The backyard is as described with a pool, sun loungers and nice braai area, it will be great to use in summer especially - the facilities would be lovely for either a great get-together or just relaxing with a book. The owner was friendly and helpful when needed.

I've been to B&B's before, and although I don't take joy in typing this feedback, I think my observations are fair. One of the first things I noticed was a refilled bottle of water in the fridge, mismatched colour cap and all; the coffee, tea and sugar were in refillable glass containers and the milk in the fridge already poured out in an open jar. This all reflects as "overly economical" and unhygienic unfortunately. The shower tap in the "old room" was a bit of a problem; it takes various optimistic wiggles to get the water to run.. or not run. I noticed that the disposable robes and slippers for the spa (in my cupboard) have been used before (little worn and slippers bit dirty on soles). The other rooms may be set up and built different and give another experience to guests. The breakfast menu is not "a la carte" as advertised and not what I would call "English/Irish", there are set cooked meals for 3-4 days at a time and you get what is served on those days (eggs, bacon, fried viennas or fish fingers (Halaal), spoonful of tomato relish, and toast over the weekend that I was there) and a choice of corn flakes or muesli, with juice and yoghurt. The margarine and tomato sauce are already dished out in open ceramic containers (once again, catering supplies comes to mind). I cannot complain that my tummy wasn't full though, the portions were big enough. I noticed a juice glass on the table that was washed but completely streaky from water/soap and not acceptable to expect a guest to use. The breakfast room atmosphere was a bit clinical and quiet, soft instrumental music would definitely add ambiance. The break / games room in the house is a smoking area, I'll just leave it at that.

The staff and owner were exceptional.Everything we need and requested they went out of their way and were very helpful. The outside braai area with lapa is conveniently located and the indoor braai area with the pool board is a big bonus.The included breakfast were delicious and filling I’m busy planning my next trip and will definitely stay there again .

Some of the amenities were outdated and need some serious replacement.The shower in our room were uncomfortable and some garden furniture were already rusted.Anything else were great.

The old tall man who made us very uncomfortable. Complained about everything we do. Though the music was not loud, he told us to respect other guests. He even switched off the lights while we were eating our super. The place used to be nice and comfortable, but with that man. Is no longer the same.

Despite having to get up extremely early for an event, we were greeted before leaving.
