Guest Rooms at Lancaster University

Super convenient. Lots of useful contact with the property before arrival. Breakfast 😋

Value for money was exceptional even a cracking full English included but it it hadn’t been Roses, you would have to pay for parking which would push price up.

Das Gästehaus ist nett auf dem Campus gelegen. Es ist einfach eingerichtet und völlig ausreichend, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und nur schlafen und duschen möchte. Der Campus ist wirklich schön und grün, ein Spaziergang lohnt sich. Mittig befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle, die nach Lancaster selber führt. Alles ist gut beschildert. Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend. Mit den Schlüsseln und dem Code hat alles gut geklappt, da die Infos vorab sehr detailliert waren.

Die Unterkunft war hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit in Ordnung, leider habe ich ein Insekt (Silberfisch?) im Bad gefunden. Für knapp 90€ die Nacht finde ich es überteuert für das, was es ist. Da an diesem Wochenende eine Sportveranstaltung am Campus stattfand, waren die Preise evtl. deswegen höher.

Clean and comfortable

Bedding was ripped & bathroom was dirty. Mould around the bottom of the shower seal & around the roof tiles. One rook tile wasn't in place properley. Looked like it was going to fall.

Overall good experience the room was clean, and the instructions to access the room were clear. Breakfast didn't have many otpions but everything that was available was tasty and a good way to start your day.

Two things that are coming more as informative, the label for the hot water in not visible at first sight but still understandable, also that there is no split between body washer and shampoo.

The rooms were basic, but clean. The location was convenient, since my daughter is at Lancaster Uni. Plenty of coffee shops and eating places nearby thankfully (see below)

There was litter all around that part of the campus (John Creed Building). The breakfast at The Marketplace was poor. Choices were fine but most things overcooked, like toast, mushrooms and fried eggs. The coffee was also cold.

Whole booking was a total disaster

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast included was good. All in all good value for money. Strong, powerful shower in the morning when the water ran hot! We enjoyed walking around the campus and reliving the time when we were both students there.

We were not able to have a shower the evening we arrived as the water remained cold even after 20 minutes of running it. The hot water was fine the following morning. There was a lot of confusion around parking fees. The information in the room told us to download RingGo app or use the paying machines in Car Park B. There were no pay machines. I was using a roaming number from New Zealand and could not download the app as it wouldn't send the verification code. We downloaded it on my husband's phone and finally were able to pay. The app told us that the parking was free in our location! We spent nearly an hour trying to pay so we were frustrated. It would have been helpful to have been told that information by email or text.
