In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Breakfast includes cereals, porridge and fresh fruit followed by a full cooked breakfast with toast, coffee/tea and fruit juice. Special diets and an early breakfast can also be catered for by prior arrangement. For your safety and comfort, smoking is not permitted anywhere in Balyett. The house is happy to take arrivals from the late ferries, just let them know your estimated time of arrival. Pick-up/drop-off service for foot passengers from the ferry port and train station, on request. Breakfast includes Fruit Juice, Cereals, Porridge and Fresh Fruit followed by a full cooked breakfast with toast, coffee or tea. Special diets and an early breakfast can also be catered for by arrangement.

Beautiful property just outside of Stranraer that looks over the Loch Ryan. Green fields all around with sheep and cows roaming around.

Everything was great! It’s a bit tricky getting to the property if you are going by foot from the Stena Line port. The local taxi drivers don’t like to pickup from the port, so I would pre book if possible. We took the Stranraer local bus from the port and the driver was nice enough to drop us off at the entrance to the B&B, saving us the local taxi trip from Stranraer to the B&B. All that said, it is not difficult at all to go between Balyett to Stranraer once you’re there. If the weather is nice, the 30 min walk is fabulous!

Small location with just a few rooms so the great breakfast was prepared fresh. Really friendly. Convenient for the ferry. Would highly recommend

The only thought is that it wasnt so easy to get hold of the lady who ran the place in the morning. That might have just been something I missed.

Wonderful spacious room, very comfortable and well appointed. We had a great stay, breakfast was delicious and filling the next morning. Highly recommend Jacquis place for anyone in the area!
