The Ritz-Carlton Fukuoka

We recently stayed for 3 nights in Bay View room at this hotel. The rooms are moody - a bit dark at night even on bight lighting, cleans and luxurious. The breakfast was high quality, balanced, however I am not sure the residential feel of the refrigerators actually worked. The staff were numerous, professional, attentive and in my opinion a little smothering at times. We loved our stay and it compared favourably with our experience of the Ritz Carlton in Portland Oregon.

Stayed five nights at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka in a Bayview Room with Club Access, booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR). It’s a really good-looking, modern property — elegant design, big comfortable rooms, and a lovely bay view. The hardware is excellent overall, though the water pressure could definitely be stronger. Check-in, however, got off to a rocky start. I was escorted to the Club Lounge and offered a drink, but ended up sitting for about 30 minutes before anyone even asked for my passport or credit card. When someone finally did, the process dragged on — the staff member read through every policy line by line, including that personal checks weren’t accepted (a strange thing to mention given I booked through Amex FHR). My wife tried to get help from the lounge concierge for restaurant bookings, only to be told that concierge services were located downstairs. The hotel website clearly says the Club Lounge has its own concierge, so that was a bit disappointing. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent — great variety of both Japanese and international dishes — and service at the Club Lounge noticeably improved as the week went on. It felt like they were short-staffed when we arrived on Monday, but things picked up after that. Overall, it’s a beautiful new hotel with great potential, but service consistency still needs some polishing to truly match the Ritz-Carlton name.

Super friendly staff members

Everything was thought of. The Lounge on 24th floor was 7 star service. The staff were phenomenal and took special attention of us and were so generous to our kids. They received special gifts upon arrival. Not a single moment of discomfort and all our needs were immediately attended to from food, beverages, taxi booking, room service.

The blowdryer could be stronger in the room

1층에서 로비로 가는 엘리베이터와 숙소로 가는 엘리베이터가 각자 다른 곳에 있어 약간 번거로울 수 있습니다.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The service was very friendly and helpful. The room are a contemporary, Japanese style that were very comfortable to stay in. Highly recommend the hotel
