"exceeded expectations!"

10.0

Excellent service/location. Room was much better in person than photos. Plunge pool was more of a moat but pools were amazing & room was spacious & well designed. Lots of great food options - don't typically love resorts but would definitely stay here again!

"Great experience!"

10.0

The atmosphere was so beautiful. The staff is so friendly and have wonderful customer service. We were always taken care of. We are Titanium Elite. Upgraded to a plunge pool room. Had an outdoor shower, hammock and chairs to enjoy outside. The grounds are serene. We used our welcome amenity for breakfast. Which had anything you could want. So delicious. The gym offers a lot. The adult pool is perfect. We had no problem getting loungers. Went off site for dinner. We will definitely return.

Love the Hotel. The service was impeccable. There was a storm on our visit, management and staff was very comforting, available and corresponded at all times on the activities. The cocktails by the bars were amazing. I will definitely go back.

"Amazing property"

10.0

My stay at Solaz was great. Our butlers were always available for assistance or a quick ride to another part of the property. We received amazing service from the entire staff. The property is immaculately maintained and the blend of architecture and landscape creates such a zen atmosphere. The resort is very unique and just purely stunning. We enjoyed most of our food at the resort. The breakfast was pretty good. You can tell a few of the items were sitting in a warmer though. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant but the portions were small. The food we had by the pool was really good! The food truck on the beach wasn’t available so I can’t attest to that. Binoculars are provided for whale watching. There was plenty of seating available by the pool and around fire pits for conversation. I have 2 criticisms. The first is that the pools aren’t heated and were very cold. The pool was actually colder than the ocean. We declined an upgrade to a room with a plunge pool because they aren’t heated either. We visited in January, where it was gorgeous during the day and chilly at night. The hot tubs were a nice touch, but it was a little too warm during the day for the hot tub. It would’ve been nice to get in the pool during the day. The second criticism is the area adjacent to the dog area smells…obviously like dog pee. It just needs to be washed down at least once/day. Maybe even hosing it down with some pet enzyme spray every so often. Otherwise this was one of my favorite Marriott properties to date!

"Absolutely the best!"

10.0

I cannot imagine a resort better than this one! Beautiful resort, pools, spa and landscape. Our room was huge with ocean view and all the high end amenities you’d need. The breakfasts were some of the most delicious we’ve had with huge variety ( thank you to Araceli the hostess). But honestly the entire staff who were so very friendly is what made us want to return. Next time we will not even need to leave the property. Many thanks to Diego, Roberto and Jennifer who took care of everything!

"Upsell machine disguised as a hotel"

4.0

Hotel Solaz in Cabo is a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the inflated rates they charge. The only reason this place has any occupancy at all is because of Marriott Bonvoy — without that program funneling members here, they’d be forced to slash prices in half just to get anyone in the front door. Service is consistently slow, unresponsive, and dismissive. Requests are ignored or take hours, and management shows little interest in actually resolving issues. While the property looks impressive in photos, it’s poorly maintained, cleanliness is inconsistent, and many amenities don’t work properly. Instead of focusing on hospitality, Solaz seems determined to nickel-and-dime guests with surprise charges and constant upsells. For what they’re charging, you’d expect a flawless luxury experience — but what you get instead is mediocrity propped up by a loyalty program. There are plenty of other resorts in Cabo that deliver real service, upkeep, and value. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.

"Devine vacation at the lovely Solaz"

10.0

Devine hotel with excellent customer service. They are quick to fix any errors made, helpful concierge team (Angelina), lovely two bedroom with three bathrooms!, A small but lovely pool (and a kids pool area) with friendly staff to help with chairs, towels, umbrellas. drinks, good food. Cascabel restaurant is the best breakfast ever!!! fresh quesadillas, Omelettes made by Chino every morning were delicious, Brian made every meal special. Full time butler service comes with the room- Josua and Benjamin helped us with every need. We jet skiied (private company) from in front of the hotel to near by cove for snorkeling. Did the timeshare meeting for 15% off all hotel food, drinks, and spa plus two 1day passes for the spa amenities. Hotel spa was sooooo wonderful. Thanks to Heidi and her co-worker as well as Fanny for making it so relaxing with sauna and steam and oatmeal scrub. I will be back again!

"Amazing stay and staff at Solaz"

10.0

This was a last minute “before the kids go back to college trip.” We regularly stay at Marriott properties and last time in Cabo we stayed at the JW which was amazing. This time we wanted a property with a beach so gave the Solaz a try. To say it was amazing would be an understatement. The room—a two bedroom suite with view of the ocean—was amazing. The breakfast was stunning—fresh quesadillas every morning?! What!? Hard to imagine that anything could be better. But it was. The service—from waiters —Brian and Chino on the omelette station—in the restaurants to the spa to check in and check out was flawless. Octavio and Jennifer made us feel like family when checking in and checking out. Our personal butlers—Josue and Benjamin anticipated our every wish from dinner reservations to more water to helping adjust anything in the room. They came to our room for mezcal/tequila tastings three times and we talked and laughed. It felt like we knew them forever. If you are lucky enough to have them assist you during your stay, you know what I mean. There are not enough superlatives…perfection is an understatement.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Solaz is one of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Every single detail is carefully curated. From the second you arrive, the staff ensures you enjoy every moment. You get a concierge assigned to you upon checking in. The architecture of this property is immaculate. Moving on to the rooms, perfection. They all face the ocean. The thermostat's temperature is ideal, and the drapes are automated, and you can also pull a whole temporary wall if you want privacy from the closet/bathroom area. The pools: A family pool and an adults' pool are divided by a significant distance, so that you won’t hear any children. Both have pool bars and infinity pools with gorgeous views. The towels are as soft as heaven, and the staff watches over your every need and conveniently caters to your experience. The food is outstanding, exceptional, and delicious. Please note that this is not an all-inclusive resort, and it is not cheap; it is a luxury resort, so be prepared to pay fair prices for the quality food you eat. Conveniently located between the Marina and San Jose, you can also explore the town and have fun outside the resort. I am definitely going back to Solaz.

"Unapproved charges"

2.0

We stayed at the 3 bedroom suite for a week at the end of July. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was great. We had a wonderful time right until the very end. We left very early on Monday, did the check out and were told everything was good. Except, later that day they charged us an extra $1,138 US DLS with no explanation. I called and was told it was because of some damage to the Stove, so I requested pictures and they show pretty clear the damage was done during cleaning with some sort of fiber that scratched the surface. There were 5 adults in our party and we barely used the stove, plus the hotel staff always did all the cleaning. We didn’t even have cleaning supplies because they come twice a day and take care of everything, including kitchen and dishes. Last time we used the stove was Sunday morning for breakfast and none of us saw any damage. Moreover, housekeeping was there twice on Sunday and they didn’t report anything until Monday after we left. If the damage was done by us it would have been reported on Sunday at the latest. I am unsure if the pictures are even from the correct room because we no one gave us the opportunity to verify the damage in person. However, the hotel refuses to listen to us or drop the charge, which is basically the cost of a whole new stove. I am never coming back and want to warn everyone who stays at this hotel that they might charge you for anything they want without any proof after you leave.
