Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos

We just returned from the Solaz and had a great time. Stayed at the Marriott side and surprisingly were upgraded to a plunge pool room with our Bonvoy status. The resort is beautiful and service was great, our Butlers (Jorge/Veronica) were very attentive helping arrange offsite dinner reservations and transportation. The cleaning crew did an impressive job making the room look neat and tidy 2x/day, this made returning to our beautiful room so much more enjoyable. On-site food and beverages were a bit on the pricey side but expected at a high end resort such as the Solaz. The cocktails by the pool were always delicious and you could tell bartenders took pride in making exceptional beverages. We took family photos on-site through BEAM photography and our photographer Marcela was very easy to work with and had a great eye for beautiful backdrops around the property. We met with Veronica at the BEAM office onsite the next day to view our photos, she made the process quick and easy by giving us access to the online gallery so we could select our photos at our leisure then sent us the digital images once we returned home. This process relieved the pressure of viewing all the photos at the office and selecting right away - this allowed us to return back to the pool and enjoy our vacation in less than an hour! Overall we had a great stay at the Solaz which is located right in between San Jose and Cabo, keep this in mind when heading offsite for dinner that it will run you about $70USD RT.

Wonderland ocean front view. Nice amenities. No enclosed breakfast area. A bit hot when it heats up all day. Rooms are very nice. Wonderful staff.

The room was beautiful and super clean. The beds were great and the bedding as well. Has nice Byredo body and hair care. Definitely could hear the cars from the freeway. I guess it’s the tourist corridor and had a lot of traffic. They clean very well and provide tons of towels. The food at the resort is very good. The only thing is there is nothing casual except the air stream which is closed on some days and then closed again for a private event and they don’t let you know. The menus for each restaurant for lunch to dinner is completely different and you have to be in the mood for heavy Italian food for dinner (no pizza from their oven st dinner) or a Seafood restaurant. Their Michelin recommended restaurant is closed for renovations.

My wife and I went to Solaz Cabo for our wedding anniversary back in April and we had the best time ever. The resort was amazing and beautiful. It was clean and well kept. All the restaurants at the resort were delicious (specially the sushi restaurant). The staff was great and friendly but the best part was the love and care we received from our two buttlers/friends Benjamin and Josue. They were amazing and helped us throughout our stay. Everything that we needed they took care of it, always with a massive smile on their faces. (The Mezcal drinks in our room was extra special). A great hotel is only as great as the people that works there and they are the reason we are coming back. We did have issues with the event’s reservations team as our original trip to Solaz was meant to be in December for a friend’s wedding but my wife had a miscarriage and we unfortunately had to cancel it. We cancelled within 28 days but I guess unknown to us the cancellation policy for a wedding was 30 days (which is way too long). We called them many many times and we got confirmations that we were going to get a refund and a month later and many calls the refund never came. Emails after emails were not replied. Eventually after many calls someone help us and gave us credit and that’s when we went in April. It was for sure a nightmare to deal with that and the unwillingness to help and understand our situation (we even got a doctors letter). But Benjamin and Josue made it all better after we arrived (and many others throughout the resort). The staff at the pool was always great as well. We hope to be back in the future because it is a beautiful resort. Alex Bier

Solaz was the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed. The experience was a one that I will never forget. The staff were all over the top helpful and attentive. This resort is the new bar standard that I will use to rate any other place I ever visit.

Architecture and landscaping, the pool staff, and the valet staff. They were also gracious to give us a late checkout.

1. Air conditioning would not go below 22C. Requested service from the technician who shrugged and said "that's the lowest it goes". Basically didn't sleep all week. 2. The lobby restaurant/bar closes early and the staff is awkward and overly formal. Constantly interrupting conversations to ask over and over and over if we need anything else. Constantly asking us to "taste" the same mediocre wine we had been drinking all night. 3. Multiple cockroaches in our room and ants crawling around the bathroom.

We recently had a family photo session with Veronica, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we met her, she made our entire family feel at ease—including the kids, which is no small feat! Her warm and friendly personality made the session feel relaxed and fun, not stiff or overly posed. Veronica has a true gift for capturing natural, beautiful moments. When we received the photos, I was completely blown away. Every image felt so real—full of joy, connection, and love. These are the kinds of photos we’ll treasure for a lifetime. Thank you, Veronica, for your incredible work, your patience, and your eye for detail. We are so grateful to have these memories, and we can’t wait to work with you again in the future!

Food was great service was amazing. Overall I’d give it a 9.0.

Highly recommend!!! Stayed here for a couple of nights on a girls’ trip to celebrate a birthday. Honestly, the only reason I booked this hotel was because it's part of Bonvoy, but I was so pleasantly surprised and would 100% stay here again! PROS The Food The restaurants were amazing, and even the poolside food was really good. The Pools There are so many pools to choose from! We mostly hung out at the adults-only pool, but the kids’ pools were beautiful too. We never had trouble finding chairs. The Service This was the best part of our stay. Josue and Benjerman went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They helped with dinner reservations, transportation, and even offered to assist us after we checked out when we were switching hotels. We stayed at another “hip” hotel afterward, and the service didn’t even come close to what we experienced at Solaz. CONS The only downside is that it’s pretty quiet at night. If you’re looking for a late-night drink or party vibe, you’ll need to go off property, but perfect for those who just want to relax!
