TUK Tulum

Great location. 10-15 minute walk to Tulum centre with lots of bars and restaurants on route. Right next to a big supermarket which was handy. Modern apartment and beautifully designed. Pleasant staff. Coffee machine was great, which we used a lot and other good kitchen amenities.

The apartment was mostly clean but not 100%, we did find clumps of hair in the sink and floor. We stayed for 9 nights and cleaner only came the day before we checked out. We wasn’t made aware that you had to request cleaning service, this is information that should be provided on arrival. Cleaner did not show up on day we requested. We booked an apartment with a private pool but the pictures are not accurate with furniture given. We only had one sun lounger which isn’t ideal if there are two of you. You have to pay to use the gym which is quite steep (200 pesos/£10 per day, per person), this adds up if two of you want to use the gym everyday. It becomes very expensive.

Close to the downtown with all the restaurants, yet surrounded by nature - as we had an apartment facing jungles we could watch colorful birds, including toucans, while having breakfast. Private pool and large supermarket with wide selection of quality seafood just across the street was a big plus.

Definitely Tuk Tulum is a comfortable place for a longer stay. The room was clean, big enough and comfortable. There are some bars and restaurants not far from the hotel. The supermarket is on the other side of the street, so it was very easy to do grocery shopping. The buildings and whole the area are well maintained and it's a really nice place to stay. We rented bikes from the nearby bike rental (it's quite convenient way to move around Tulum and surroundings).

Bathroom accessories could be refilled more frequently or should be added some spare accessories for a longer stay. The same thing about taking the trash from the kitchen.

Soft bed, nice view from apartment, private pool, friendly staff and quick service when in need, big grocery store on the other side of the street, close to restaurants about 1 kilometer, jogging distance to beaches about 3-4 kilometers. All in all, I had a nice stay and would love to come back!

trucks making a lot of noice when delivering stuff to the big grocery store on the other side of the street early in the morning from about sunrise at 07.00. No need for alarm clock. And the automatic cleaning of private pool makes some noice in the apartment daytime. But listening to music in my noice cancelling headphones it didn't bother too much. Also, beware of stray dogs if you walk or jogging on the road to the Gran Cenote. Best to go there in car.

The property is in a great location and the security guards at the front gate and receptionists were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint, it was difficult to find the entry gate on the first night as I drove into town after dark from Cancun airport. The art walk was easier to find than the entry gate. Other than that everything was great.

It was really a nice comfortable room and I have no regrets, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is pretty good, with a grocery store right next to it and on the same road that leads to the beach. It's not too far from the tulum ruins, so nice and easy to ride the bike there, which I recommend, walking would have felt very far in the heat.

The place is still being built, so there is some construction going on, and small things that they could improve for the rooms and access... It was weird that our room looked out on a pool (located on the otherside of our balcony), but that is was not accessible unless you pay to go to the spa (250 pesos per hour). Booking.com says two pools, but you can only use one if them. The spa is nice, but be aware that the jacuzzi is not hot. They only rent bikes for 24 hours and charge 250 pesos, every where else is 150 - 200 pesos.
