Hyatt Place Newark-Main Street

I thought the hotel itself was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is great! Every staff member was very nice and helpful. The only issue we had was with coordination of our wedding hotel block. We had to scramble to get other hotels for our guest when this hotel told us suddenly they couldn't accommodate anymore guest. We also had to reach out to them to find this out, they didn't communicate this to us. They did help organize a smaller block at another hotel close by but this ended us having guest stay at 3 different hotels.

Exceptional Stay at Newark Main Street, Delaware, Discoverist check-in to check-out, everything at this hotel was exceptional. Check-in was smooth and easy. At my Discoverer status, everything was handled perfectly — I received my complimentary water, was briefed on the area, and given the hours for all amenities. The hotel features an excellent bar both inside and outside, and the bonus was the patio doors that open right out to the outdoor seating area — a great touch! The breakfast team was truly outstanding. They were friendly, funny, and made the morning enjoyable while catering to every guest’s needs. You really couldn’t ask for a better team or a better experience. The only downside was a late party going until after 3am and with minimum staffing finding the room of the offending guest might have been a problem. two weddings, and class reunion's (Staff) did their best to please the masses' I’ll definitely be returning to this hotel. Outstanding job, Newark Main Street team!

I lived in Newark several years ago when the hotel was being built. I was so happy to be able to stay in it. The location on Main St. is close to restaurants and stores. The room with two queen beds and a couch was spacious. I loved the little bar and outdoor seating. It exceeded my expectation and is a valuable addition to Main St.

We had trouble keeping the shower door open.

Last minute trip. I always stay here when I visit DE and it never disappoints. Great staff, great location, great options nearby.

The place was clean and nobody could be the location. It’s literally walking distance from my son’s dorm at the University of Delaware.
