"Temperature control didn’t work"

The hotel is clean and comfortable, as well as conveniently located for walking to campus. It had one fatal flaw, the thermostat didn’t work. I stayed there in May, when the temperatures were a bit lower than average. When I arrived, the temperature in the room was 65°. Changing the setting didn’t help. When I complained, a friendly hotel employee somehow fixed the problem. The next day, when I returned to the room in the afternoon, the thermostat indicated a temperature of 64°. An additional problem, if you don’t like artificial scents — like many chain hotels, the room reeked of industrial deodorants.

I have been here several times but this last visit was bad the breakfast service was horrible they had no coverage the towels in the room were dirty the experience was terrible. It was a very good hotel to stay in but the quality has gone down

Hyatt Place Newark is a great hotel and in the perfect location to walk around the town. The bar/restaurant in the hotel is excellent and a big hit with the UD students.
