Beautiful building really good parking responsive host. With the world class City on Liverpool on your doorstep and all the beauty of the Wirral around you.

This property is not honest and they are fraudsters. They charge a 60 pound deposit and promise to return it, but they never did. I called and sent several emails and got no response from any of them. Do not stay at this property because you will lose your money.

The apartment istelf was clean and quiet.

The lift shaft was still being built, there is still building work ongoing to the shared internal apartment. Internet is advertised, there is an internet box but could not access Wifi or get TV

Apartment was fine for short stay

Communication with host awful You have to pay a deposit and the host ignores your requests for returning it. Don't pay it. You won't get it back. Tried to contact Charlie on various platforms he ignores you. I would not book again.

Nice and clean with everything we needed

The noise from the upstairs neighbours and side neighbours and the Friday and Saturday was absolutely awful They partied and played music all night until early hours in the morning And the upstairs neighbours bangs around so loudly it's not pleasant

This is a beautiful old building which has lain derelict for years. It is lovely to see it being brought back into use. If you expect basic, this will almost meet your expectations.

It would appear that some flats are being used as holiday rentals between long term rentals or sales. You can even see my car in the first picture here https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/160529864 Unfortunately the previous longterm tenant was terrible judging by the number of letters chasing payment in the lobby, and the persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment. The smell of weed in the entrance hall wasn't his fault though. When the internet got switched off, I don't know, but it never worked once while I was there. This was a work trip and I planned to do admin here between meetings, which was impossible without internet. Charlie's best offer was connecting to WiFi from a neighbouring flat, but the signal wasn't strong enough. Judging by other reviews this has been a known issue for months, but I didn't realise. Charlie just kept stringing me along. In Wallasey I pay £60-70 for a deep clean. Being asked to pay £75 is a joke when there was dirt under the coffee table, the drawers were full of crumbs and grease, and I had to rewash the dirty glasses or plates before use. I had to buy my own washing up liquid, so I assume none was used by the cleaners. I would recommend my cleaner to Charlie, but then she'd have to deal with Charlie, and that would make me feel guilty. The heaters in the living room and hall appear to be broken. The bedroom one worked, although there are no instructions and its not logical to use. I tried the same method on the others but with no luck. The last point is that I was asked to pay a security deposit against damages. Despite leaving the flat cleaner that I found it, I have not received this back yet. I waited more than the required week because of Easter, but despite two emails since then, I have had no response or deposit. Edit: Sent Charlie Blackwell a 'Notice before Action' to warn him that I will take him to the Small Claims Court, but still no response.

The apartment was in a renovated 1906 building. The apartment was spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was ample free parking in the car park in front of the building. There was a view of the River Mersey from our apartment, although that will be blocked once the building site between the 1906 building and the river completes its construction of new apartments. There was a wine fridge, which we liked, but no wine glasses!!!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE 1. We tried several times to contact the owners to get instructions on how to access the property, but no messages were answered. Eventually phoned and got and ansaphone. We finally got a response just minutes before starting our journey. 2. One arrival on the Friday we found numerous problems, which we reported. These were acknowledged, but no addressed. 3. We found more problems on the Saturday, which we reported, but these messages were ignored. CLEANLINESS The apartment had not been cleaned properly. 1. We arrived to find bags of rubbish in front of the apartment door. This was reported, but they were not removed, and we received no info on what to do with them. 2. The coffee table was covered in numerous sticky marks and clearly had not been wiped clean. 3. There was a white dust on the bedside table, on a window sill and on the carpet in both the living room and bedroom. 4. The worst was that the inside of the oven was absolutely filthy. UNFINISHED There was lots of evidence that the building was unfinished. 1. The car park had raised iron works, as the final layer of tarmac had yet to be applied. 2. There were no curtains, or even curtain poles, on any windows in the apartment except in the bedroom. 3. There were dust covers over the smoke alarms making them inoperable. Is that even legal? 4. There was only one mirror in the whole apartment, which was in the bedroom, propped up against the wall. 5. There were no pictures on any wall, and as I said the only mirror hadn't been attached to the wall! 6. There was no instruction book on how to access the WiFi or work the heating or anything. 7. The bathroom had no mirror, razor point or toilet brush! 8. There was no washing up bowl in the kitchen sink, and not even a plug for the sink, making washing up extremely difficult.

Location was good for what we intended to do - to visit Liverpool, Chester and dip into North Wales

Staff was non existent. Apart from turning up at check-in we didn't have any assistance at all. We couldn't sign in to apartments wi-fi despite router containing all the necessary passwords. We couldn't get the electric radiators working. Didn't have any response from staff to our queries. One of the nights was ruined by an almighty party somewhere in the upper floors which didn't end until 7 in the morning. Allegedly beautiful view across the river Mersey to Liverpool was ruined by abandoned building site right in front of windows.

Beautiful little apartment, very well presented. Fantastic location for us. One problem we had was sorted almost immediately. Great communication.
