"Deposit not refunded after several emails"

After several attempts by email and despite promises our deposit was not refunded. Invoice clearly states deposit is refundable. Checkin was a drama! They handle multiple properties on site and had put the wrong keys in the lock box. So we were advised to go through the different lock boxes and keys to get in, then after that, no towels, so back down to lock boxes and go to another unit to get towels. This took well over an hour and while we were doing this a resident says, having key trouble? He then tells us this has happened previously to other guests.

A newly refurbed apartment. Great views across the Mersey.

What a pity that after so much money being spent on the refurb - especially the kitchen - the bedroom seems to have been forgotten. The storeage was not good. Small wardrobe that doors could not be opened fully. Worse was a curtain that only came halfway down the window so at sunrise the light streamed in.

"Family weekend away"

It's was clean, spacious and comfortable. Good location to walk along the promenade in either direction. Would recommend "The Ferry" pub for a few drinks and dinner.

There was nothing we didn't like but the apartment requires a couple of functional items to make it even better. This includes a mirror, cutlery and coats hooks in the hall. These really are minor ideas just to make it even better and certainly no reason not to come back as we'd love to.

"Unfinished renovation"

Beautiful building and well located but still under renovation and I don't feel that it should be rented out in the state it is. Ground floor flat so access was good for my mum, who can't do many steps but would definitely not be wheelchair accessible. Looks like the lift is currently being installed. Renovations inside the flat itself are probably mostly complete and it is advertised as having a sofa bed in the living room. Unfortunately, as there are no curtains on the huge, very impressive bay windows so I was able to catch the beautiful sunrise at 5am, whether I wanted to or not! Bedroom was lovely but curtains were over a metre too short for the very high windows so no privacy or way to block out the light. Lovely wardrobe but unable to use it as the pile of the carpet is too high so the doors are stuck closed. Not sure if fire inspections will have been carried out yet as there was a dust cover on the smoke alarm. Fabulous entrance with fob security system but the fire door at the end of the corridor was open and I couldn't close it.

Only informed of the external renovations the day before arrival and truly wouldn't have minded that, as long as the inside was acceptable. Feel this is very unfair due to it being difficult to get an alternative at such short notice. In the end I had to book somewhere else after we arrived (after a very long day of travelling) for the rest of the stay. If we had arrived earlier I would not have stayed Unable to get TV to work, all heating off and no instructions on how to work it. I managed to get the hall heater to work but couldn't get the living room one to work. There is a £75 cleaning charge per stay, which I don't mind as long as that means the apartment is clean. I moved the coffee table to set up the sofa bed and found quite a lot of food debris underneath. The fridge still had food debris inside and the bin was dirty. I contacted the property to request internet details, to ask about the curtains and also tell them there was broken glass in the corridor. They responded with the instructions for the internet but ignored my queries about the curtains & the glass. They did refund the 2 days we didn't use but it worked out an expensive mistake due to the cleaning charge
