The Poplar Resort

The resort is located in a local Vietnamese neighbourhood, so you get to experience the local culture. It is perfectly located on the island: close to the main road with all the nightlife, and close to the best beaches of the island. The owners are wonderful people, very warm and welcoming. They will help you with anything you need and offer services at reduced rates. They provide very enthusiastic support and go above and beyond to help their guests if they have any issues.

The owner was very helpful and a good host. The accomodation is very homey and near the beach , you can view sunset. Room is nice and clean.

In the beginning of property booking the price displayed was $17 per night and once booked it turned to be $26. Don't know whether it has to do with the property or it was a Booking.com glitch.

The place is amazing, the host very helpful, he support you in everything. The place feels like home every people are very friendly, and the locals amazing is a very good experience. They help you with everything motorbike rent, booking tour, places to eat, planning your time in the island, everything you need they support you. I recommend this place if you want to have a experience living near locals and have a relax place to stay.

is really near to beach, but it located very deep. have to take grab to nearest bus stop for free shuttle bus. not near to eatery but near to fresh market.

Stayed for 2 days surrounded by this awesome family! Van and his staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located right on the beach and in the evening it was nice to go out on the balcony and watch the sunset. The room is clean, new plumbing, excellent wi-fi. You can address with any question to Van, and you will be helped! Unfortunately on the last day of arrival I caught a cold and could not fully enjoy the beauty of this place. Definitely put this place on your itinerary, it's worth a visit. Thanks Van!

Can, the owner could not have been more helpful. As an over 60 yo and a single traveler he got me discounts on trips and his wife even cooked me an evening meal on 6 out of 7 nights stay.

Nothing except you had to travel to find a clean beach to swim from.

Very nice cozy resort run by a family. They do it with soul. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helps his guests with any questions. He will advise where to eat, where to go, help, organize a car or bike. This place makes you feel at home. One evening they prepared a delicious seafood dinner for us. It was the most delicious and freshest thing I ate during my entire stay in Vietnam. The rooms are very clean, with new mattresses and pillows. You can relax there after a busy day. And in the evening, on the terrace that faces the sea, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. The resort itself is located on a real non-tourist street, where you can see the life of the Vietnamese and dine in a non-tourist Vietnamese place. This was also on the advice of the hotel owner. And it was very tasty.

The location is top, close to the Dong Duong centre and easy to reach the beaches on the north or south of the island. The place offers the possibility to rent good scooters for the equivalent of 5€/24h and free laundry (that you can do yourself). A part from the curtains with a bit of mold, the room was very clean and comfortable. The host is very nice and helpful, even though quite intruisive and pushy.

The place is a nice homestay, but cannot really be called a resort. The beach in front of the place is nice to watch the sunset, but not to enjoy an entire day at the beach and swim.
