Ikos Porto Petro

An exceptional hotel, with incredible service and incredible food. All of the staff were so friendly and genuine. The resort itself is massive, so using the buggies for transport is essential to get from one place to another. Yes you can walk, but it is pretty hilly in places. It’s a great way to see why whole resort! There isn’t much of a beach, but the pools in the resort were managed well and very clean. Pool service was spot on. Food was lovely, always a great selection. This is my 3rd IKOS to visit, would I stay here again….maybe not. The hilly location, and lack of beach would be the main reasons but as for the hotel and service, I couldn’t fault it.

This was our second visit to Porto Petro, and we’ve just returned from a wonderful 10-night stay at this beautiful hotel. We travelled as a multi-generational group, our three teenage sons, their grandparents (ages spanning 14 to 77!), and us and the hotel worked perfectly for everyone. It gave us the chance to truly relax and enjoy quality time together. We booked Deluxe rooms, which allowed us to dine at a different à la carte restaurant each evening without relying on the Market Buffet for dinner, and also enjoy the excellent Deluxe poolside service. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our personal concierge, Ilaria, who was exceptional. She made sure our rooms were just right, accommodated every request with patience and professionalism, from adjusting dinner reservations to organising a special birthday celebration for our son at Seasons, complete with a great table and birthday cake. She even recommended fantastic local spots, including some great bars in Cala d’Or for the older teens. On top of all that, she made a genuine effort to connect with the grandparents and made them feel special. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she handled everything with such calm and grace. A special mention also goes to Victoria at the Deluxe Pool. She was amazing, so attentive every day, taking care of all our (many!) requests, from milkshakes for the kids to endless Champagne and cocktails for the adults. Her warmth and efficiency made every pool day feel indulgent. Between Ilaria and Victoria, our family was even treated to a photoshoot on our final day. Normally, this isn’t something we would do, but the experience was fantastic and the beautiful photos we received are now the perfect keepsake. Thank you both so much. The rooms themselves were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the beds very comfortable so no complaints at all. As for the food, Seasons and Oliva were our standout favourites for dinner. The Market was ideal for breakfast and lunch, cool, airy, and offering a fantastic variety of food, perfect for fuelling three teenage boys training for rugby season! Special mention to Pedro for keeping my wine glass topped up at lunch and the coffee flowing at breakfast. The gym was great for the whole family, although it was quite busy around 8 a.m, so we adjusted our schedule to go earlier or later in the day when it was quieter. One small suggestion, it would be great to have a spot nearby offering smoothies, protein shakes, or rehydration drinks, similar to what other resort gyms offer. Evening entertainment was pitched just right, not too loud or intrusive, more like a gentle, enjoyable backdrop for cocktails. The White Party was a real highlight, and even the boys loved it before heading out to Cala d’Or to meet up with friends staying locally. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we’re already thinking about our next visit. Next time, I’d love to explore the villa options so we can all be together in one space.

This is the third Ikos we have been to, previously we stayed at Dassia and Aria. This is by far my favourite of the 3, Aria being second. The main reason is that the resort is so beautiful - it's sprawling and the gardens are beautiful. Dassia felt so barren (maybe just because it's Greece?). But this resort is really beautiful, we enjoyed the sprawling nature of it and riding on buggies from one side to the other! The little beach was a treat and the sea wonderfully warm. Blissfully unlike the other resorts, there was no grabbing on sunbeds, I think it was because for the first time visiting a resort like this, there were more than enough. Infact, the resort felt like it wasn't full, I even asked a receptionist if they weren't full and was told it was at 99% - it didn't feel like that at all, and I really appreciated it. The staff were lovely, food was ok, as expected, i'd have liked more local food, smaller. portions. Couple of downsides: we booked 2 garden rooms, we had one, but our (teenage) kids were in a normal room in a block some distance away, they are old enough that it wasn't too much of a worry - just a bit odd in the same booking, and a bit of a faff for meeting up and packing. The major issue for me was a general Ikos one - the restaurants were identical (or seemed to be) to other Ikos resorts we'd visited (including last year) even the menus. So it felt disappointing - we wanted something different - the Ikos quality but to feel like we were having a different holiday. So for that reason, we'll reluctantly give Ikos a miss for a couple of years, as really, you could be anywhere in the world if it's the exact same experience at each resort, just looking a bit different? Maybe this similarity the appeal of Ikos to people, but I wanted some variety. Having said that, if this was my first Ikos visit, I'd definitely choose this resort.

Great drinks and even better service. We stopped by the hotel bar just for a drink, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. Galina was absolutely amazing – friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was great, and the service even better and the view on the lovely bay was spectacular. Highly recommended if you’re in the area – and be sure to say hi to Galina!

I was on the fence whether to go for 4 or 5 stars here. It is clearly an excellent resort, with incredible service and a brilliant location and food. The kids club is brilliant and our kids loved going there. All of the staff were brilliant and well trained. There are a few things which could have been slightly better which is why I went for 4 stars - none of these would stop me returning, albeit for our next Ikos trips we are going to mainland Spain and back to Corfu. 1. The resort is massive, so if you have young kids using the buggies for transport is pretty much essential. Because we were staying in the 4000 block and had to go to reception every day for the kids club we were reliant on them and sometimes there was a bit of a wait. It is odd they don’t have a system to signal you need a buggy, you just have to wait. Sometimes this took 20 minutes. This is no criticism of the drivers incidentally, who were all brilliant and our kids really loved sitting up front with them. 2. The air conditioning in the gym struggled to cope with really hot days, which made it a bit uncomfortable to work out. 3. The food in the restaurants was all quite salty - not really a problem for us as it was generally excellent but I can imagine some might have an issue with that. 4. There was a slightly odd moment where I had left a bag in our car which had been parked by the valet, I asked if someone could go and get the bag rather than them bringing the car back round just for me to collect the bag and was told to collect the keys and go an locate the car myself. It is possible this was a bit of a misunderstanding. 5. There isn’t much shade near the pools, so you rely on the umbrellas. Problem is if the wind goes > 10 mph or so you have to take the umbrella down for safety. As a family who don’t like too much direct sunlight this is not ideal. These are all minor gripes and I would happily go back again - and indeed I am struggling to think of somewhere better for a holiday with young kids - but for EUR 2k a night it ought to be 100% perfect.

We went on holiday with the whole family (14 people), and it was absolutely amazing! The level of service was outstanding — we lacked nothing — and every single restaurant was truly delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

The Most Absolutely Stunning Resort I’ve Ever Experienced I’ve traveled to many places, but nothing — absolutely nothing — compares to the incredible experience I had at this resort. From the first moment I arrived to the day I checked out, everything was pure perfection. The Resort Itself: The setting is straight out of a luxury travel magazine. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, the views are simply unforgettable — think crystal-clear waters, serene landscapes, and sunsets that feel like a personal gift from the universe. Every corner of the property is impeccably maintained, stylishly designed, and effortlessly luxurious. My accommodation was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the balcony views were unreal . It felt like home, if your home happened to be a five-star sanctuary. The Service: What truly made this stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality. I want to give special recognition to Skerdi and Eugenia, two of the most professional, kind, and genuinely helpful managers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They went above and beyond to make sure every part of my stay was smooth, comfortable, and perfect. Their attention to detail and warm personalities made me feel not just like a guest, but truly valued. Chaira - was always there to assist, and she made a big difference in making my time enjoyable. Also, thank you to Rea, an exceptional waiter who brought so much positive energy and professionalism.
