ふる里 Mt Fuji Inn Furusato

The owners here are so kind and helpful. They collected us from the bus station and brought us back the next day and we were given a great recommendation for a yakiniku restaurant down the road. It's a lovely traditional homestay in a convenient location. We were able to rent bikes and cycle them around the lake and made some hot tea and cocoa when we got back to warm up!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very nice owners. They rented us great bikes for a very low price to get around the area. The room and the whole hotel were very clean. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, but at the same time - not too far from the active part of the city. There is a 7eleven very close by, which was open 24 hours a day.

It's a very beautiful traditional building but with all facilities for a comfortable stay. The host Tsubasa is very accommodating and fetches us to and fro from the main station. Definitely recommended for a non usual touristy experience.

Nothing to dislike

Feels like home. Staying here was one of the best parts of our trip. Tsubasa and Juan made us feel so at home, like we were visiting family. Juan even came to pick us up from Kawaguchiko Station, which we really appreciated. Tsubasa took us out at 6 AM to catch the sunrise and showed us not just the places we planned to visit, but also some hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own. He was so patient while we took photos, and it was hard to believe this was his first time as a guide! Juan was also super kind, he even came back just to teach us how to use the stove when we were struggling. The house itself is warm and cozy, but it’s really the people here that made it special. Thank you, Tsubasa and Juan, for making our time in Mount Fuji unforgettable 🤍

Really good location and staff were incredibly helpful

Beds could have been slightly more comfortable, but in all honesty I was unwell during my stay so it could well have been that as well.

The owner is very friendly and thoughtful. Pick up service is available by reservation. It’s not so far from the Kawaguchiko bridge. Next time will choose ふる里 too! またね😆
