Incredible stay. Owner went above and beyond in picking me up and dropping me off. Futon is a lovely change of pace and heater is strong. Great location and good bike hire.

Friendly and helpful host. Offered to drive us from the station and back to the station.

Sometimes other guests may lock the main door, leaving you outside whereby you need to contact the host to unlock the door for you.

1. Very warm, accommodating & friendly host that would get out of his way to help me with my needs. Picked me up and dropped me off the station for free. 2. Traditional japanese house experience. If youre in for culture, or even if youre not, atleast try once to stay in a traditional house. Immersion helps in appreciating a place more 3. Around 200m walk to 7/11 and roughly 500m to Lake Kawaguchiko. If youre lucky, you can be assigned to the room overlooking Mt Fuji 4. clean house, bathroom, room 5. can rent a bike from them for 1000yen

public transpo is not frequent and has around 2-3hours interval between. I had to scratch most of my plans in Fuji because of that. But the house and area itself can compensate for the ruined plans. Also, it gets very VERY cold especially at night. The temp was around -3deg celcius and although there was manual heater in the room, i was still freezing because of the gap on the door

100% authentic Japanese ancestral house. Location was very good. You will experienced a typical Japanese life.

It was a rustic traditional house that felt like an authentic Japanese experience especially the bathroom. The hosts made us very welcome and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We could even see the shoulder of Mount Fuji from our room!

A lamp or bedside light for more ambiance would be a nice addition.

Staff were so friendly and gave me good information about the area, offered to pick me up from the station too. Room was comfy and traditional japanese, it was a beautiful house. Restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

Bit of a walk from the station but can't be helped, and they offered to pick me up. Walls quite thin so bring earplugs.

The owners made sure we had the best experience! He offered to fetch us from the station and even dropped us off at the station in fear that we would miss our bus back to Shinjuku. The owners are contactable via Whatsapp which made communication efficient and easy! I liked how they had bikes to rent for a cheaper fee than at the shops near the station. It was nice how they had a heated kotatsu for the full experience. There are onsens nearby so we got to enjoy the hot springs for our bath before returning to the inn.

It was cold when we woke up, and we suspect the heater has an automated timer that switches off...It is a pity that we did not know how to change the settings.
