Stable Cottage - Sleeps 6, near Lulworth Cove

Beautiful property with some great history behind it. Philip has a lot of knowledge of it and was a brilliant host. Perfect central location for going off to different towns however a car is a necessity!

As it’s an old building the ceilings were a bit low but nothing could be done about that! Not much to dislike about the property! Everything was kept in good condition!

Very low ceilings so careful if your 6 foot plus Stairs wouldn’t be ideal for toddlers or older unsteady people

This is a cottage with 2 bedrooms and a separate annex building which has the third bedroom a short walk across the garden from the main cottage. This is 100% a quirky traditional cottage, with random steps, low walk ways between rooms and steep stairs. I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues due to all the internal steps between rooms. But if you're looking for a traditional English cottage this is it. The owner was great with communication throughout and it is probably one of the best cottage I've stayed in for having all the crockery and cooking facilities you need.

The annex worked well for us but might not be for everyone.

Well what can I say?! What a gorgeous slice of heaven this property was. We all individually said how comfy the beds were. The kitchen was very well equipped and a great size. The lounge was super comfy. And the hot tub....well, we were in it every spare second and it was sublime. The house is in a fantastic location for striking out across Dorset and it was so peaceful. Philip was an amazing host and a very interesting person. The local pub is but a 5 minute walk and well worth a trip. We loved every second of our stay and we would love to come back.

The low beams have been mentioned. What can you do? It's a beautiful old property. There is zero phone reception, which is fine, as there is WiFi BUT worth noting so you take note of the key safe number before you realise there is no phone reception! Philip was super kind when we were daft enough to find ourselves in this position!

Area, lovely kitchen area and open living to socialise. Hot tub was nice and was provided everything we needed

The shower in the cottage was awful and unusable, it burnt me just lucky didn't put my kids in as you set it and it just changed to boiling hot then cold again, trickling out. Cobwebs not dusted and washing line rusty so it fell and tore my costume.

A ramshackle delight! Loved the location within walking distance of pub and coast, and the cottage was full of character with a wonderful hot tub. Excellent communication and a welcoming cake from our host was a nice touch.

The electric shower output in the house was good and hot, but amounted to barely a trickle - which was the only thing that marred our otherwise pleasant stay.
