Lodge Nine for 6 with Hot Tub - Spa Resort in Devon

Nice touches on arrival like hand soap, washing tabs and liquid, games and toilets rolls! The beds were very comfortable. Great shower. Hot tub was great. Nice balcony area. Very peaceful setting. Although only one parking space by the lodge there was ample parking 2 minute walk away. Leisure facilities were great. Free WiFi.

No mattress protector.

The swimming pool and wider resort is great, well maintained lovely staff well looked after.

Overall the quality of the actual accommodation was very poor. It was very tired, the sofa (not the one in the picture) was terribly uncomfortable with half of it held together a bit of MDF. The master bed mattress needs replacing as you can feel the springs though. The lights are flickering. The place doesn't feel clean or homely, there are piles of dust under the beds and not really a place you want to stay in to relax. The small shower keeps overflowing after 5 minutes. There were dirty towels left hanging up from the last guests. The only nice part of the house is the hot tub which is maintained. I would say it's not worth the money and needs an overhaul/ refurb to be called luxury. I wouldn't recommend staying in this lodge, but would recommend the wider Finlake.

Lots of space and great location. Clean on arrival.

No sauna, despite being listed as a facility. We needed hanging space for wet clothes, there wasn’t even a small airer provided.

Clean and comfortable, everything you need. We would come back as location was fabulous

Only a niggle we weee asked to strip the beds when leaving but lave the mattress protectors I’m, which we always happy to strip the beds the mattress protectors weee heavily stained need to be replaced and swapped more often

Lovely lodge, great location for local attractions. Several options for eating on site, as well as lots of activities to choose from. The kitchen is well-stocked, and everything works (the gas cooker requires a lighter, but one was provided or can be purchased in the shop on site). Nice owners, responding well.

I'd like a floor squeegee in the wet room to use after the shower, but that's just me. And an extra pillow would be nice. Otherwise, it is a lovely lodge.

Hot tub, lovely location, dog friendly, sauna, lodge very comfortable.

The setting is tranquil, lodge had everything that’s needed.

There was nothing I would say we didn’t like.

Extremely comfortable very close to all the facilities the site had to offer would definitely return.

The location, the view, the hot tub, the balcony. It was modern and clean.

The communication between Booking.com and Finlake. It was terrible and they were several things I had to sort out, but it was difficult to get a response or it was ignored. We couldn’t book activities because one of them had put the incorrect number of guests. I thought the swimming pool was free if you were a guest, but two of us, who arrived first, got charged for using it. We also went about 12 hours without any water, which admittedly wasn’t their fault, but we were only given 2 bottles of water between 5 of us to drink, wash, etc. in.
