It was self catering

There was only one mirror in the property and that was over the bathroom sink. The bedroom window would not open. The toilet roll holder was broken. The fridge needed defrosting. There was no table to eat at.

Fab one bedroom apartment. Simple and straightforward access to the apartment. Excellent communication from host. Everything you could need was provided. Comfy bed, plenty of towels, the bathroom was great with a good size walk in shower. Comfortable living area with sofa and well equipped kitchenette. It was quiet and there was no disturbance from other guests. Excellent location just by the railway station if you arriving by train, just a few yards walk, however the trains were not noisy. Plenty of free car parking options too. Safe area. Walking distance to beach and only a short stroll to the local shops which has a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as several convenience stores. Frequent train service to Liverpool and the rest of the Wirral. This is my second time staying in these apartments and I will definitely book again. I would 100% recommend.

I can’t really think of any negatives.

The location was good and the area is nice. The bathroom was good and had new fittings and the shower worked well. The kitchen had a dishwasher which worked.

The heating for the property didn't work and I was supplied with 1 plug in heater and a further heater once I complained. The curtains in the property were coming off the rails and the painting was chipped and worn. The kitchen had an extractor hood that was not wired or connected which meant cooking was problematic. There are plastic plants which were covered in dust and this was not good. The communal washing machine / dryer was very dirty and I opted to go the launderette instead. I have previously stayed in the penthouse which was much better.

I liked the location, it was very convenient for me as it was near family I was visiting. The accommodation was well appointed, comfortable and clean, and even though it was on the main street, traffic noise was minimal.

Whilst there was an electric radiator in the bedroom along with two oil filled radiators one could wheel to different parts of the accommodation, I found that the heating was not effective enough and there were times I was cold especially at night, and struggled to sleep.

Very cosy and clean, perfect for a much needed mini escape. It had everything I needed and the host communicated very well. Considering I booked the day before, everything was sorted very efficiently and all the information I needed was sent to me right away. The heating was great (and much needed).
