GBThe quirky old imperfect interior, it has its own unique character and charm. The location in old town and by the sea is perfect. The students running the place are always helpful and will sort out any issue. There is a hint of old fashioned glamour. Love it!
The pictures and light switches etc were a bit wonky and the shower door fell off, but it easily was put back and it didn’t matter at all! 😀We enjoy staying there very much!

Hostel disguised as an Air BnB, you are essentially lodging in a bedroom in a house. Broken chair, wonky lampshade, stained bedsheets, single glazed windows. The toilet adjacent to the room was missing a toilet seat, and you have to travel further up the stairs to get to the bathroom to wash your hands. The shower has very little pressure. Bare basic facilities. I had a little anxiety to begin with (mainly about potentially getting my organs harvested) because the locking system between yourself and the other guests isn’t the most robust, but very quickly got used to my settings and reassured myself I would only be there for one night. I think the price of £60 was very much ‘you get what you pay for’ but anyone else paying more, I would avoid as it would not be good value for money. Pictures on the website are misleading.
GBThe light switch was outside the room. No bed lamp, electric socket, or kettle. However, they put some mus and teabags in the room. Two single beds by a very old window or under a very steep roof made sleeping slightly uncomfortable.
The Location is nice, b6 the old centre, but the hotel is very poor.

entrance door very dilapidated and not appealing, given the wrong entrance code (the day before so it didn't work), staff couldn't speak english and said i could park just opposite the accommodation (which was permit holders only). He didn't understand that permit holders had to be permanent residents ...he thought you could just pay for parking. Once inside, entrance smelt musty. We stayed in room no. 1. curtain and rail was about to fall down and the curtain drawstring didn't work. The mattress was extremely old (i estimate 20 years or more) and had what looked like moth holes in it. Mattress was so soft that i ended up not sleeping and got a sore back. The pillows smelt of hair grease really strongly (and that was through the clean pillow case). These pillow should be replaced. I went to turn on the gas fire to take the chill out of the room and looked behind the grate front and i've never seen so much dust and dirt and grime in my life. I thought that a gas inspection had to be carried out every year to let a room out. This fire had clearly not been looked at for... I estimate 10 years plus!! I didn't touch the controls because of it. The windows were very very dirty, they clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time, they must be cleaned for guests! The communal bathroom was up a level and was simply not fit for purpose. The shower pressure was non existent, a complete joke, disappointing. The toilet was raised on a false platform so neither of us could use it as our feet couldn't touch the floor (the toilet had obviously been raised to allow pipes to run underneath (and the raised platform had no cover on the front of it so there was a gaping hole!). The basin had a tap that hadn't been fixed to the sink so it was loose and the only mirror was opposite above the toilet and had a huge amount of rust around the edge.

GBThe location is possibly the best of any stay it is literally 5 mins from car park at rock nore and 2 mins away from beach and town!
The shared bathroom was a little new to us but it wasnt an issue or unclean or constantly occupied as only a small amount of rooms.

Cleanliness wasn’t the best over spilling bins in kitchen all the doors etc grubby, toilet in main bathroom broken & smelled awful, no toilet seat on the other loo shower was stone cold in one bathroom & too hot in the other, place was okish for a one off last minute but definitely wouldn’t go back
