White Anchor, Old Town in Hastings

We hadden pas op de dag van aankomst gereserveerd en betaald, maar bij aankomst bleek het verschrikkelijk. We hebben de (zolder)kamer bekeken en besloten meteen niet te blijven. Het rook muf, raam kon niet open, bed stond onder een schuine kant. Moest een zestal heel smalle trappen op. Gedeelde wc en badkamer waren op een andere verdieping, wc badkamer was defect. Geheel gaf een zeer verwaarloosde indruk

Good location

Only one toilet for the whole place. No toilet roll. Only two teabags in room. Beds very small and cramped. Toilet out of order in bathroom. Key collection quite confusing

The location was brilliant, right in the heart of old Hastings right on George street and the High street , the most popular and historic streets. Great! The room was comfortable and had coffee making facilities Shared bathrooms were clean and tidy Would stay here again as brilliant location for everything and good price accommodation.

Unfortunately the shower door was broken but still managed to have a shower though and owner afterwards was there to fix it. Just a suggestion to make it clear on instructions to guests arriving at the hotel, after using the lock box to get through the front door that the next lockbox to use is on the door of your room not the lockbox’s inside of the property Nr the front door. We got in a muddle until another guest told us the lockbox was fixed to the room door not the one’s inside Nr the front door.

We really enjoyed staying there, the room was for a good price. Normally I dont sleep very good when im not in my own bed, but I had a really good sleep.

The location was great for us, close to the beach and the arcades and a short walk into the town.

Unfortunately I was disappointed by the overall presentation of the white anchor, paint flaking from the walls and damage to the main hall way. The room felt damp. The key entry system was a little confusing, especially when we received the message about gaining entry to the property 2 days after arrival. The pressure in the shower was terrible as well as a lack of toilet roll for the first few days.

In town

Price was steep curtains ripped to shreds blocked toilets no. Loo roll absolute disgrace for 100 for 1 night place was awful used and old and shower was week hardly any water place was a joke for 100 pounds

Location is perfect, property is interesting inside! Staff are very polite. Rooms are comfortable

No tv in some rooms, property furniture needs badly updating, cabinets in bathrooms, bedrooms, door locks need fixing, beds are broken, tea,coffee and sugar, should be properly provided in rooms.
