The staff was amazing and very welcoming. Special mention to the manager Mr. Sanjeev and Mr. Manish who took very good care of us and accommodated our requests. Also, to the lady at the restaurant who was warm and took care of us and the kids. The property and the location is also very good. They have great children's play area and hippo viewing deck with trail. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

It’s location and authentic vibes

The cleanliness of the bathrooms and the lack of maintenance. The rooms need major renovation. My sister fell sick and needed medical attention but we were told at the reception that the nurse was off and that there were no meds available.

Not much to say, except for the location which is ideal for reaching the park.

The experience during our stay was far below the standards we expected. Right from the onset, when we arrived at the property, the room was unavailable despite it being well past the check-in time. The receptionist was rude and justified the unavailability due to a “big group checking out”. Next, the room - the staff didn’t know what room type we had booked! And when you enter, you realise that most of the basic amenities are missing. 2 towels for 3 guests, non-functional electrical sockets, the list goes on. The housekeeping staff had to be called several times to get their attention. To top it off, we had a hilarious incident one day trying to leave for the early morning gamr drive when we got trapped inside our room due the room door lock malfunctioning. We had to wait for the locksmith to free us out! And yes, brace yourself for the frequent power cuts and disappearing wi-fi. Not that we expected much in a remote location, but a 5 star property advertising connectivity should be concerned. Finally, extra charges galore! If you are leaving for the game drives, be prepared to bring your water bottles from the room or be ready to please at the reception for an extra cost. Water isn’t free either in the dining halls unless you carry a bottle from the room. Oh, and the packed breakfast in the morning, the less said, the better. Little things really, but they make for an extremely unpleasant experience. I must add that the operations manager and the hotel GM made time to speak with us and expressed their sympathy. They acknowledged the creaking state of affairs - but words of sympathy do little to lift your spirits on an expensive vacation. Never again.

Location in nature.

Significant lack of communication and honesty. Staff exploited us for money and held us hostage - confiscated our passports and demanded money they did not communicate was required. During this time, armed officers and other staff surrounded us. We were told to pay one amount for the journey in the park - then they denied. So we had to pay more money before we were allowed to depart. During our meal, we were harassed by a member of staff for unexplained money. The light was not working in our room - three men turned up to change one bulb, consider two ladies in a room unable to leave without escorts due to the nature to the accommodation. The complementary water bottles were half full.

Staff were amazing, our great experience was made so much more due to the excellent staff at this lodge and the game drivers.

Too much spicy food served at dinner. The park fees are $200 per person per day which is rather expensive but nothing to do with the lodge.

The location was excellent and we saw a lot of game. Staff were delightful and always eager to please.

The rooms are are tired but I understand there is renovation in progress.
