Selva y Mar Apart Hotel

Reading the reviews, our expectations of this place were very low however we had a really good experience . The room was well equipped with a stove and cooking utensils and the building itself is quite beautiful with all the plants. The location is awesome , nice and quiet and close to the beach. The free breakfast was really delicious. Not a whole lot of food but it was tasty :)

They are very strict with the 3 pm check in however you have until 12 to check out so it’s not a big deal.

It is very close to the main shopping street and the beach. It’s safe even at night. The wi-fi worked nicely, it has an AC.

The sheets and towels were clean but the room had a lot of mold. I understand that the air is wet here but they should at least try to clean up the mold from the rooms. This is super unhealthy. It’s maybe okay for a few days but avoid it for longer stays.

The check in with Alma was super professional and easy.

There was not water and electricity in the morning so could not get myself ready before my flight.

Being close to the touristic center, it was relatively quiet. The rooms faced a calm courtyard. We didn’t even notice the other guests. The wifi worked well. The air conditioning worked well. The checkin and breakfast are at a nearby hotel. Alma at the reception desk was professional, helpful and friendly.

It would be nice to have two sets of keys.

The property itself is so beautiful. The plants and the trees make it feel like a little jungle. The rooms are nice but in need of some repair. I used to stay here a few years ago and the rooms were decorated nicely and cared for better.

Renovation, wifi weak, the continental breakfast included is not good.

Its a beautiful setting with palmtrees and so much vegetation, the room is nice and authentic looking the location is perfect. Also the staff at the Casa Ticul where they give you the keys are soooo friendly Alma and there was a young guy at the evening shift Julian or Juan-im so sorry i cant remember the name:(They were extremely helpful with everything!will go back soon!
