"Would stay again but disappointing start to our weekend"

Great location, only a short walk to town. Very spacious, easily fit 7 of us comfortably for the weekend. Two good showers. Very quiet. Kitchen well equipped (although could do with a new bottle opener).

Too many messages from the letting company in advance and strict instructions not to check in early. When we arrived 30mins after check in the apartment wasn’t ready, the cleaner was still there and was waiting for clean bedding to arrive. We had booked for 7 but only 6 beds made up. I had to phone twice as the ceiling/wall lights in the bathroom and two bedrooms weren’t working and the apartment hadn’t been cleaned properly - old food on the kitchen table, crumbs on the floor, dirty oven, hairs in the bathroom, dirty fridge… I was told that I wasn’t supposed to phone them (even though the phone number was available on booking.com) but I should have messaged instead! They did come back but didn’t fix all the lights and the cleaning was better but not perfect.

"Comfortable stay steps away from Bath's city center"

A lovely apartment located steps away from the heart of Bath's city center and across the street from the lovely Henrietta Gardens. The apartment is spacious -- at times even too big for a family of 4! -- and had plenty of room for all of us and the very many suitcases we lugged along. Beds were comfortable and the bath towels were the best we were provided with during our two week stay in the UK! Also: included parking space! A necessary luxury when driving cross-country as a family. Overall, the apartment is reasonably priced, located in an unbeatable area of the city, and everything was provided for and communications with James from Clean Break was actually pretty quick and direct. We appreciate the timeliness with which he responded to us and really, really enjoyed our stay.

We arrived to a couple of broken bulbs. We informed Clean Break about this, as one of the bulbs that had burnt out was for one of the bathrooms, but were advised to change it out ourselves. I suppose we could have done this but between moving one of our family members in for uni and settling them into a new country, finding a hardware store to buy a bulb, locating a ladder (we were a group of 4 women/girls traveling and are... short), unscrewing the light cover, changing out the bulb, screwing the light cover in -- anyway, the whole thing was just not an errand we had the time to include in the daily list of things we had to do. A property information card placed in the apartment indicated that this approach of DIY rather than waiting for Clean Break to attend to the need at hand is pretty standard as the apartment is "not a hotel" but my view is that since we paid to stay and it seemed to be managed by a professional company of sorts, it should be... acceptable for us to request certain updates be made. Oh and the wifi is spotty at best. It practically does not work in the back bedroom and the QR code for connecting to the bedroom wifi was also not functioning.

"Great place but no parking"

It was easy to find and directions were easy enough. The flat had nice heating and easy to regulate in different areas. It had two bathrooms (great for a few guests) and a nice share area (living/dinning/kitchen) The room under the pavement was big for 4 people and didn't feel too dark.

We didn't get to park in their garage as they didn't leave us access. I contacted them several times (they always responded quiclkly) however they didn't sort it. I suggested they pay for my parking but it never happened. Some of the beds were not made, and as we arrived late with children, that was an inconveniece (plus it took us a while to find the sheets)

Clean, spacious, quiet and well furnished.

Would benefit from having some tower fans for the lounge area and bedrooms. Also needs a shower curtain in the master bedroom.

"Beautiful property, incredible location, free parking - Fabulous time!"

The flat itself was perfect for our family attending my son's graduation. The location was fantastic: just around the corner from a pub, a beautiful park over the road and another two minutes away, and, a 10 minute walk into town. The flat itself was nicely laid out, spacious, (there were six staying and two visiting) and very clean. the two bathrooms were invaluable and again spacious and clean! The garden at the back was a lovely treat due to the weather being so good. The garage was a real bonus and even the parking space in front of the garage, meaning there's room for two cars. I would definitely recommend this property.

Nothing! Actually, the only issue we had, and only because my dad is 86, were the stairs going down to the accommodation. However, once down, Dad loved it! And, considering it is lower ground, there was so much light! We will be booking again for next year.

"Great location! Has everything you need."

Great location, everything nearby. All facilities are there and the car fitted exactly in the garage (Tesla 3). Very friendly staff who helped us immediately with our wifi issue.

Because it's a basement apartment it felt a bit humid.

"Location great but unloved. Rude staff!!"

The location was perfect. We wanted to be close to the centre of Bath and we also wanted our own space so this flat seemed ideal. Bedding and towels were clean and the beds were comfortable.

From the first day we had problems. The stairs down to the flat were absolutely filthy with bird Pooh and weeds, so it appeared that no cleaning had been done in the front of the property. When we entered into the flat we discovered that the inside was quite grubby and seemingly unloved as the doormat was dirty and the kitchen sides, most floors and fixtures were fluffy, dusty and some lights were not working and the curtains in our bedroom were not on the rails. We also had a rather loud extraction fan which woke us up. It seriously needed a deep clean and a little redecorate. We also had no access to the internet throughout our stay and the garage access was very poor. Even with a standard size car (Toyota Corolla) we had great difficulty parking due to the cars parking opposite the garage. Also there was no sign of a key fob that was mentioned in the parking arrangement that would incur a £150 charge if lost! I did take time to contact the company that looks after the property to mention the state of the property and the fixtures that I’ve mentioned above, along with the issues of parking and the lack of key fob as they ask for communication to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. Well that was a waste of time and the response was very rude and disappointing. Here’s a copy of the response. Not bothered about making us comfortable with our stay at all and no help in checking the internet issues. I didn’t respond to this email as I didn’t want our stay to be spoiled with arguing the point. Sharon. Not sure yesterday's message warranted a response. You mentioned you couldn't find the fob but managed to park the car. Problem solved. It would appear someone has left with or hidden the fob. As for today, i think we can all agree the actions of a camper van are out of our control. As for the curtain. We will have maintenance check that when you leave and I will talk to the cleaning team about the cleanliness. Was there anything specific?
