The Turquoise Letterbox - Twin at Central

The Turquoise letter box is a very quaint property nested in the heart of Kolkata. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed with ethnic decors making it a fabulous amalgamation of modern and traditional outlooks. The hosts ( both Shomik and Moitreyee) are excellent, but Messie the GR beats them all! Will love to return whenever I get the kolkata calling again!

The appoachway is a bit congested, but that is mainly the problem with the hawkers in Kolkata!

Turquoise Letterbox is an aptly named Nest in the middle of an Urban jungle which you would like to return again and again for its cozy comfort and incredible warmth. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable, sweet and practical. They went out of the way because they felt we wanted a genuine experience of Kolkata. Breakfast was homely and we loved sharing travel stories. Messi showed us his neighbourhood cats and vantage lookout points. The caretaker genuinely cares about our needs. The housemaid made sure our wet clothes were washed and dried (we had arrived there from cheerapunji) Turquoise Letterbox is incredible in its styling and interiors. The theme has been perfectly executed in great detail. I even managed to pick some ideas for decor. The access to the house has been through a shoe market but that's not a cause for worry because that's true kolkatha for you. A nearby building is unfinished and the merchants of that building have come down to the streets. If you want to order food, the delivery boys will easily find you. Not a problem.

Staying at The Turquoise Letter Box was truly the most beautiful introduction to Kolkata I could have hoped for! From the moment I arrived, Soumik and Dona welcomed me with a kindness that made me feel instantly at home. Their generosity, warmth, and constant care made every aspect of my stay smooth and joyful — they truly help with everything and go far beyond what you'd expect. Their son, clever and quick-witted, challenged me to a game of chess (which I did lose!) and made for delightful company. Their daughter, with her sweetness and bright smile, added even more charm to the atmosphere. The rooms — more like little intimate apartments — are spotlessly clean and wonderfully cozy, with beautiful carved wooden beds that give the space an artistic, serene feel. If you're looking for a stay that feels like a warm embrace and a window into the heart of Kolkata, this is the place. I couldn't recommend it more!

It is a beautiful property, decorated mindfully with art and an old world charm. The hosts are very accommodating and Rabindra da cooks the tastiest homely meals.

Very comfortable and easy space for a holiday in Kolkata, owner is friendly and helpful. The central location makes it easy to visit the city. Good shower.

We had a pleasant stay at this accommodation. The hosts are extremely hospitable and made us feel very comfortable. We were welcomed by someone from the accommodation who helped us reach the place, which was a very kind gesture on their part. To reach the accommodation, you have to pass through a shoe market, but it’s easy to find and not an inconvenience. The breakfast is delicious and can be served at the accommodation, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hosts are always available and happy to assist with anything you may need, which greatly enhanced our experience.

Unfortunately, any street noise is very noticeable. One morning, the sound from the mosque woke us up, and we couldn’t fall back asleep because of it. It was a problem for us, and for those sensitive to noise, it could be a discomfort.

From the moment of booking, you become family. Soumik and his hardworking team got everything covered. Even Messi (golden retriever) is fully involved in making your stay a happy one. Great place to unwind and relax. Home away from home!!!🙏💯
