The Salt Box

Well equipped kitchen and and comfortable accomodation just a few minutes walk from Dartmouth town centre. Main bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom were very good. Visited with my wife along with my son, daughter in law and baby grandson. There was a small balcony which was nice. An allocated parking place is a available on a residential drive about 200 yards away. Allocated parking is like gold dust in Dartmouth so that is a big plus though you need a good handbraken for the allocated space,

My daughter in law mentioned that the 2nd bedroom was quite humid in the hot weather that we experienced.

What a great find! The Salt Box is in a prime location in Dartmouth, with allocated parking which is worth its weight in gold. The accommodation is great, clean and modern. The master bedroom has a lovely large bay window and view over Dartmouth. The second bedroom has a double bed with a bunk over the top, which was a pleasant surprise as an adult was using the room. Good amenities in the kitchen, and a little balcony.

There are no wardrobes but plenty of drawer space. No real big issue. For anyone with mobility considerations, access to the property is down a flight of steps. There are handrails.

Clean, tidy, well equipped.

The parking space provided wasn't available due to other cars blocking the space and building equipment in vicinity. The hearing was an issue, couldn't get the place warm.

The apartment is cosy, in a great location and has comfortable beds & bedding. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need.

We couldn’t find the heater for the second bedroom, so that was cold. There was space for wardrobes in the bedrooms but there were only drawers to put your clothes in, so not great for shirts and dresses

Fantastic place, let down by very poor communication from host

Initial check in information was not sent until arrival despite asking a few days in advance. ‘Guaranteed private parking’ was taken when information was given and host uncontactable when trying to rectify this. When a response was received I was already late to my event, had to park 1 kilometre away and pay £20 extra in doing so. Made for a stressful and frustrating stay.

We had an end of November break and it was a cosy place to stay. It was just a short walk to town and very enjoyable
