The propertys kitchen was infested with ants quite severely, me and my partner couldn’t use the kitchen space at all as it affected the whole kitchen area. We didn’t feel comfortable using it or storing any food there as they were all over the kitchen sides or even walking in the kitchen area as they were crawling all over the floor. The owner of the property didn’t seem to have any care for this and was actually very rude and unprofessional. There’s multiple other reviews that I’ve seen after the fact that report of this issue (even though they acted like they were only just made aware) so the fact it still hasn’t been sorted and no warning was given before our stay is ridiculous. The camera in the garden area of the property is also incredibly intruding, it only faces the hot tub area and doesn’t face any other area of the garden and we had to go in with shorts and top on as it felt uncomfortable. Everything else about the property was fine but the downsides ruined the stay for us.

The exterior was very neglected. The grass was unmowed, the garden furniture was dirty, and part of the children's playground was unusable without our prior cleaning.

Pots and pans could do with an upgrade. Handle almost falling off frying pan and tap was leaking water unless used at a specific angle. Messaged owner re: infestation of ants which they said they would look into. Also was informed on the day of check in that a £200 deposit was required before check in details were released. I think this is poor and should be cleared stated or factored into original booking price/terms.

Heating wasn't easy to navigate,was boiling when we arrived and windows all open aswell. Didn't like the fact there were cameras in the hottub,nit very private in that respect. No welcome pack or instructions were to put rubbish on leaving the property

I am not one to write negative reviews but on this occasion I feel as though I have to, this place is extremely over priced. There is no heating inside this property, we were cold and couldn’t dry towels and clothing, the floor in the bathroom is lifting up from the damp inside due to no heating. The WiFi is extremely slow, barley being able to get any reception on our phones, let alone watch tv, the chairs around the dining table are literally on there last legs I made my children sit on their suitcases to eat as was worried the chairs would give way. The hot tub was not clean and the egg chair cushions were green. Wallpaper peeling off and taped back down again, the door leading out to the hot tub, did not close fully and had a huge gap, making it extremely cold. No curtains in the small bedroom with bunk beds. There is nothing luxurious about this property. And also after paying £750 for three nights you have then give another £200 deposit on the morning of your stay to gain access to the information to enter the property which I was not made aware of. After messaging to say we have no heating and the WiFi isn’t working I was given a phone number to call, but there was no answer. Was dubious that I’d see the £200 deposit back but I did receive that at least. Also no dustpan and brush or vacuum cleaner at property.

Just back from an amazing two night stay here. Amazing family break lovely lodge amazing hot tub.
