Cathedral Quarter Hotel - Derby

Room was small but very clean. Bathroom excellent - felt quite new. Excellent location 3 minutes from the cathedral, easy walking distance from town centre. Entrance foyer has lots of character.

Overall lacks a little in atmosphere. Breakfast was disappointing. The continental talked of croissants but was toast. Vegetarian breakfast was OK but lacked flavour and ingredients weren't the best. Again the breakfast room lacks atmosphere.

Cleanliness. There was plenty of mould in the bathroom. Carpets and furniture were tired and in a bad state.

Beautiful old building but very tired and in need of some love.

Very hot room - air con control, but it probs needs a service as it only made the room hotter

I stay here for the location nothing else Lifts not working as usual - one only went up the other has been broken for years The hotel feels as though it will close down at any moment It Sad it used to be a vibrant hotel we a busy cocktail bar - not its fairly depression Its location near a safe car park for me is its only feature - without that i would not book , Room prices variable , too high for what you get to be honest

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Small, tired room. No AC so had to leave windows open which let in noisy supercar racer noises.
