I liked that we were central to visiting family.

On the face of things this property looks lovely. But I will never stay there again. There was no towels or toilet paper or sugar on arrival, had a 6 hr journey and had to contact owners straight away. Human hairs found on edge of bathroom sink.also the shower curtain was filthy. Both ovens were filthy with left over food in them. Fridge and freezer seals caked in filth and mould. Stair bannister thick with dust. Back garden was a health hazard. (DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN AT THIS PLACE) Tumble dryer still had washing in it. And the dish washer was broken. No dish cloth or tea towel so we found some under sink that may have been used to clean toilet... Who knows and at the end of our stay used these, so god help the next clients. No forks so had to eat cooked breakfast with a spoon.and couldn't cook any food we had taken with us, had to go out and spend money on meal. Some of the issues were rectified quite quickly, but on letting the owner know our disappointment he said what compensation would I expect for eating my breakfast with a spoon. And then preceeded to say he thinks I'm a professional complainer. I am a hard working person that had 4 days holiday to visit my husbands family, that we hadn't seen for 7 months after the death of his brother. The property looked idilic. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED. NO REPLY FROM THE OWNER HAS BEEN FORTHCOMING TO BOOKING. COM as he refuses to compensate us or them. God knows when the last people were to stay here as the guest book was dated 2022 and no new entries or new book. I just hope no one went in straight after us....

Location was perfect for us. House was fab!

No kitchen roll, so a spillage meant I had to use towels (ooops), no instructions to the dishwasher (I'm normally the dishwasher), i stacked it but couldn't start it - thought was there! Ironing board wasn't in the kitchen, we used the table then found it in the back room! Lol I called and text with regards to a shirt I had left, was initially ignored then told it would be sent back and then I didn't hear anything! Hate that #communicationiskey

Loved everything about this property, location/cleanliness/quiet and very homely. Our 2 nights stay was 100 pounds cheaper than a local ( middle of the range) hotel. Wouldn't think twice about using again for family visits.

Updated shower wouldn't go a miss if I have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find a -negative.

I loved how modern and clean it was, great amenities and so homely!

Couldn't figure out the heating so was a little cold at night but nothing a blanket didn't help with, and they were provided!

Great location for us as close to family we were visiting. Comfortable beds, great shower and nice big tv.

Poorly equipped for self catering. Hardly any pots and pans, only 3 forks and the dishwasher didn’t work which we had not been informed about in advance although was in the property guide book on arrival. Oven and bin were both dirty on arrival although host did come over as soon as we informed them to rectify this. Garden patio was flooded with rubbish floating in it and decking was rotten which didn’t impact on us for this visit but not ideal.

The house was clean & beautifully decorated but very cold inside when we got there.

The heating could have been set to go on for around the time we said we would get there. However this was NOT possible due to no credit on metercard. we then had to find a shop to put £20 onthe card as the owner could not come down as he had a drink(that were his words) So No heating overnight even after putting credited metercard back in Then in the morning wife went first in the shower and my sonwas making us coffeein the kitchen when water started leaking through the kitchen ceiling from bathroom I ran upstairs to tellmy wife to turn off shower sent 2 text messages and 2 phone calls to Owners answer service between 8.00am & 9.20 am 03/02/24. By 10.40am had no reply so decided to leave (it was so cold because of NO heating) and go for a breakfast in Town Centre then onto see our sick relative for a few hours before returning home couldNOT go back to a freezing cold house However, owner contacted us about 6.20pm when we were about halfway on our journey home. They appolagised for what had happened and said they would re imburse us.

Tired and scruffy exterior and interior Dirty kitchen Mattress worn out and dipped in the middle - poor sleep Heating ran out x 2 on card Had to dry towels before use - left in washing machine

Could have been so much better. Location was great, quiet and safe. Cleanliness and reliability of the heating system spoiled our stay.
