The location was ok for sightseeing but there is no free parking only permit holders only not very good when it says free parking which is quite a walk for someone with disabilities the house next door is completely burnt out with no roof it is a shared bathroom so no facility for private bathroom the cutlery and pots and pans were all dirty and some even rusty we had to go out and buy our own to be able to cook a meal

The flat is just super🔥👍All new, perfectly clean. The flat has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Comfortable bed, had a great sleep. The location is also very convenient: we walked from the station in 7 minutes. The owner is friendly and helpful. If we stay in Hartlepool again, we would only stay in this flat 💖.

Everything was great

Room and bed were extremely dirty. Host did not allow shoes in the place. I arrived at night to check in and was told I am not allowed to shower due to noise. I much earlier than the check out time as the experience was not acceptable.

It was easy to contact the owner whom could not have been more helpful, friendly and polite. Its a ideal area a very central location and peaceful Everything you needed was provided the house is warm and welcoming Thank you

I stayed the night at the property whilst looking for last minute accomodation. The place was well presented, clean and host was accommodating to my requests. The area is central to the shops, train station and town centre. Good value for money.

It is stated that the bathroom is private. It is separate, but located in the open kitchen area without any markings, no key. In my understanding, "private" means for my exclusive use (lockable), not something I have to guess upon arrival, with no assurance of privacy. There was no hot water on the first evening after arrival, no heating. The owner involved another guest to handle the boiler issue, asking them to explain what was wrong. I'm not interested in the reasons why there's no water — I’m paying for a reasonably priced stay and expect the basics like hot water and heating to be guaranteed. The issue was only resolved late at night. Seagulls walking on the missing part of the roof, as mentioned in another review, is true — they didn’t let me sleep. However, those were the least of the problems I encountered there. On the second night, after returning from work, I found 6 police officers and two police cars at the apartment. It turned out one of the tenants had attempted suicide in the bathroom leading from the shared kitchen. The owner gave no explanation, no apology, no warning that this had happened. No information on when the place would be cleaned. (Another tenant had to convince him to even notify the police about such a serious incident.) The mentally ill person was taken to hospital but returned to the apartment around midnight. Due to the very late hour, I couldn’t change accommodation. I stayed until morning and left as soon as possible. The owner only contacted me after I informed him I was leaving. He wrote, “random booking man is leaving the apartment the day after tomorrow” — that was his entire response. He later deleted this message on WhatsApp. A tragedy — I’ve never had such a bad experience on Booking. Booking refunded part of the costs, but what I experienced there is indescribable. The owner tried to play the card that I never showed up (I have photos, screenshots, I was recorded by the police).

We stayed in this apartment for one night — everything was great! The place is clean, cozy, and exactly as described. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay, fresh linens, dishes, and all appliances work perfectly. The area is quiet and convenient — shops, cafes, and public transport are nearby. The host was always in touch, responded quickly, and helped with the check-in. We’ll definitely come back again!
