Cosy countryside stay- Waters Upton, Telford

We left shortly after arrival and did not stay. The communal entrance smelled strongly of cannabis, and there was very loud car racing noises coming from other tenants. While the bedroom itself was fine, the carbon monoxide detector was beeping due to a low battery. Within around 20 minutes of arriving, when I used the shared bathroom, I was shouted at through the door by another tenant. One of the tenants then waited outside the bathroom and appeared annoyed at my use of the shared facilities, before entering the bathroom immediately afterwards, spraying the air and making comments that were difficult to hear. This was followed by very loud music. When leaving the property, we noticed a large speaker positioned on a window ledge overlooking the entrance, clearly visible from outside, which explained the volume of the music. It became apparent that those causing the disturbance were residents of the building rather than guests, which unfortunately impacted the overall experience and sense of safety. As two women staying together, this made us feel uncomfortable and unsettled, and we did not feel safe remaining at the property. We therefore decided to leave and find alternative accommodation elsewhere. Following this, the host offered only a partial refund despite the fact that we did not stay and the accommodation did not feel welcoming or safe.

Great room with everything needed Comfy bed Door drafty and downstairs door open most of night, cold. Didnt realise it was shared bathroom, but its listed as such - for 4 people it meant a wait when the others had baths - not clean - they didnt clean after use- Hard to find in the dark for a non local, rang the restaurant who were extremely unhelpful- told me it was nothing to do with them and wouldnt even say if i was in right place- even though the door was next to them and not signposted - ended up knocking on 2 peoples doors to find it, then find how to get in, in the dark. postcode took me down a dark narrow country track Nearly drove back to telford. Once in and locked door all good except the bathroom wait Great value What would help is a sign on the outside door, and more detailed directions to it if not - and dont rely on sat nav lol Needless to say i did not eat in the restaurant due to their attitude ! Appalling Made do with a snack

The hosts were friendly replied straightaway when I messaged them the apartment was compact and was laid out well great there was coffee tea sugar etc as well as plates cups. There were cleaning products too so all a great help

The mattress on the bed could be changed I didn't have a great sleep the pillows could do with a change... Also even tho your given a code of the gates to get into the car park the gates were always open.... The front door to get into the apartments wasn't locked and there was no key same with the door at the bottom of the stairs that leads up to the apartments... I know it's out of the way... Might just be me but I like to feel safe...... It's pitch black outside I think could do with a security light.... All in all was an OK stay
