The staff were friendly, the location was brilliant. Obviously under a refurb and bits done are good.

The bar was not stocked well and the showers were awful

Spacious room and comfy bed.

No mini fridge or water in a heat wave. Shower was good once hot water came through, but couldn't get to stop dripping once done. Windows are original wooden frame and we're knocking with the slightest breeze at night. Had to put tissue scrunched up between each frame. And curtains were difficult to fully draw. Towels had a musty smell. Reported to front desk after first night but weren't replaced by evening had to ask for fresh towels which also had same smell. Parking was extortionate, paid £35 for 2 nights. Not what u expect when paying £229 for 2 nights. Food was served in adjacent hotel so decided not to book breakfast. Had food at lovely local cafes and restaurants instead.
