Cosy pub. Friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff. Good home cooked evening meal. Beer good. Near Goodwood

Breakfast was a snack bar, apple, yoghurt and porridge pot. A croisant or pain au raison would have been nice.

Shame not to have breakfast offered, the pack left in the room was ok but not really enough.

Great location on the South Downs Way.

Not great value for money when compared to other options on the South Downs Way. Especially with regard to the breakfast which was pre-packed in our room with no cooked options. Also, the room was fairly basic with limited offerings of tea, coffee etc.

The staff at the blue bell were very welcoming and friendly despite being rushed off their feet on 'pie night'. The room was pleasant and nicely decorated, the bathroom was fine- a good shower, and the evening meal was lovely. A convenient stop off on the south downs way and extremely well located for regular buses to Chichester and midhurst. There is also a small shop in the pub if you prefer to have a more substantial breakfast. They will also prepare a packed lunch for you.

breakfast was provided in the room as pub was closed when we left but it was fine. Sunday lunch was very good indeed

- easy check in - wonderful staff, couldn’t do enough for you. Lady who served us at dinner was really helpful - clean rooms and really peaceful

- advertised that breakfast was included but it was yogurt and fruit in rooms with a pastry. Would expect cooked breakfast at a b&b
