The Garden Rooms at Tannery House

We absolutely loved breakfast each morning. It was the best (full English) breakfast we had in the entire trip. The hosts were also friendly and very helpful in recommending hikes we could do. I loved my stay here.

The room I stayed in has a "low drainage rate" in the shower, to call it somehow. The owners are aware of this and take some measures, like putting towels to contain the overflowing water, and a sign with recommendations on how to best use the shower so it doesn't get to that. Despite my best efforts, taking very short showers, and with minimum water pressure, I couldn't avoid the water overflow. Of course, having two people shower less than 30 minutes apart is simply impossible. If they fix this, I would say the place is perfect.

Beautiful quiet location..feels like ur in countryside but just a min walk into centre Hosts wonderful.

Could maybe just do with minifridhe in rooms..this isn't a criticism though..loved our stay 🤔 😕 😉 😏

Great location, beautiful garden space, peaceful, bonus to have seating in the garden.

A small fridge in the room would have been good and it would be nice to have the option of room only.

Breakfast excellent. Location good apart from the narrow entrance to the property, but you can't do anything about that

Room was a bit chilly with the recent weather. Could do with some supplementary heating

It was a very comfortable stay in great location and we were welcomed by host.

With breakfast starting not before 08.30 (which my wife reported as very good) there was no solution for me as I needed to be away for 07.30 for the Glorious Gravel cycling events starting at the Bakewell Showground that morning. Now, I did know this in advance as I took it up with the owners via Booking in advance but still l feel my request was not unreasonable and I did end up paying for a great breafwast which I did not have.
