The Garden Rooms at Tannery House

The owner is lovely and the place is cozy. The front garden is lovely and cozy, after long walk and had bath, we were sitting at the front garden seat it was cold but the light and garden make it even more lovely evening. The warm welcome from the owner is amazing and the coffee opposite the place is the bonus for me as I love coffee. Morning breakfast (a few mins walk) is amazing with fresh juice, warm breakfast and coffee was really good.

The location was excellent, being a quiet position overlooking an attractive garden and only a few minutes level walk from the High Street and the River Wye. Breakfast was very good- although at an 8.30am start a little late for my liking. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice place to stay to visit the Peak District with Chatsworth, Buxton, Matlock Bath and of course Bakewell itself nearby.

The bed and bedding were incredibly comfy and cosy. Location was excellent, right in the middle of town and with a pleasant garden area outside. Hosts were also lovely and very welcoming

The bath felt a little flimsy when standing in it to shower, but that's literally the only small negative and would definitely not stop me from staying again.

Breakfast was lovely.

Couldn't park. Other cars had filled the parking area. Luckily, payment machines were out of order on the main road so I drove back there and parked. Drainage issue in bathroom meant that there was a bad smell there. A note warned that the shower could only be used on low setting to prevent problems, so I opted not to use the shower. I realise the owners had been trying to sort this out. But the high star rating of the room didn't tie in with this.
