Location near racecourse was perfect and room absolutely fine

Booking and checking process very painful and elongated. Endless requests for ID, photos etc etc

Location was perfect.

So a man on reception wasn't very helpful or friendly when it came to our stay. When he knew we were here for the races, he made it clear that the people that came for them ruined the town. When asking for help where to park, he said there wasn't any around here, but there was one a 7-minute walk from our rooms. The beds were awful. You could feel all the springs through the mattress, which was extremely uncomfortable and meant I tossed and turned most of the night. I wasn't provided with any toilet roll for my bathroom. We also had to lug our bags up 3 floors on a spiral staircase.

A kettle would have been nice but maybe not enough space in room to put it.

The room was clean and well organised. The bed was comfortable and there was a lot of storage space. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campus is within a 20 minutes walk from the centre (not "in the heart of Cheltenham" ;)), and it is easily reachable by bus on a weekday. The taxi from the train station cost about 10 pounds.

I specifically looked for a room with a fully equipped kitchen. Unfortunately it was not. There is a stove-top, a microwave, fridge, all in a very good shape, but it lacks other kitchen equipment. When I arrived the only kitchen-ware I found was: 2 glasses, 2 plates and literally 1 set of cutlery (knife, spoon, tea spoon and fork). No other utensils or pots. When I complained, I received 2 pots and a frying pan, but had to buy all other utensils, like a chopping knife for example. So the room is rather prepared for a person who brings all necessary utelsils with him/herself. I didn't like the invoicing process: I had to pay in advance but received an invoice only 3 weeks later, a week after I left

Nice studio room, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, everything needed to make simple meals, good size en suite with shower, comfortable bed
