The location - close tto friends in Parkstone.

It was all a bit strange. First there was no doorbell and no one snswered when I knocked. I had to ring the host for him to come to the door (he had been in and ignored my knocking). The host wasn’t very friendly - no pleasantries at all! In fact he was more interested in seeing my driving licence than inviting me over the threshold out of the rain! The room was large and the bed comfortable - but just 2 flimsy coathangers in a large wardrobe doth not an adequate wardrobe make. There was a kettle and tea bags in the room but no sugar, coffee or milk and, as I hadn’t been shown any kitchen facilities, they were pretty much redundant. The waste bin was tiny. The shared bathroom was nice BUT insufficient toilet roll - just lots of flushable wipes….. And hand-towels for a shower?? Really?? All in all this place has a way to go but it does have the potential to be great with just a few tweeks. The host would be well advised to go and stay in a few guest houses himself to see how the pros do it.

I made a booking online and I chose a check in time of 00:30 as it was on the website. The owner declined by reservation and refused to refund me. I understand it’s a non-refundable, but I was not the one that cancelled my reservation. I picked the check in time because I found it online

The total experience was terrible. The owner told lies and was deceptive. It is a substandard place. A VERY dangerous stair and no curtain on the window. Sunlight at 6am.! No equipment in the room, no fridge, no usb port. Disgusting and a rude and obdurate person in charge. I wasted my money! I will never deal with you again! I am so disappointed 😞

The bathroom here is spacious, clean and well equipped.

The property was clean

The reception area and check in could be more welcoming. The pillows could be softer The shared bathroom is not ideal

It is very quiet there and has a secure feel.
