Crossways Cottage Quirky 2 bedroom cottage in Damdale, Central Peebles

The location is good.

The sofa and the beds are very, very uncomfortable. The access to the main room is difficult due to a wardrobe. And it was very cold. We couldn’t change the temperature as it was locked.

4 light bulbs in the living room were not working. No instructions on use of oven . No small knives for peeling etc. bed and sofa hard.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in Peebles. So close to town and an easy 20 min walk from Neidpath castle, which is why we visited the area for a wedding. Kim the host was lovely, really responsive and helpful. Lovely location, would stay again!

I chose the property because of the location, as it was less than a 5 minute walk to see family who live in peebles, other than that there were no redeeming features of the property

The cottage was very dirty, oven & oven trays hadn't been cleaned, there was an empty cider can down the back of the sofa, there was dirty laudry thrown in the bottom of the wardrobe, the shower hadn't been cleaned and felt like it was unusable. I contacted the owner who apologised and said she had been ill but would get someone around to deep clean, nobody came while we were there

Very comfortable well equiped and private. Had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Great location

We were a party of two couples. The property is 2 bedrooms. One double and one single and advertised as a double sofa bed. The sofa bed was neither a sofa or a bed. The property is ideal for 2 adults and a child. Beds and bedding do need to be upgraded as very poor quality.
