Price for facilities and location in relation to family was good. Cheapest accommodation for miles around. Clean and well presented.

The road noise kept me awake but the hotel can’t do anything about that, for this reason I won’t stay again.

No staff to like only see one at check in ..They have changed breakfast to continental but not told

This was a return visit as we were impressed on our previous stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was lovely, spacious, warm and full of character. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, generous portions and dinner was fairly priced. My husband was impressed with the beer care. Very good evening entertainment. Would happily return again.

Lovely characterful property. Room was a very good size with original features like the fireplace, etc. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was very generous, well cooked and delicious.

The food was good. I had lasagne for dinner and cooked breakfast. The member of staff who I asked was helpful in showing me how to switch on a heater in my room after dinner.

It was cold in the bar, restaurant and in my room when I arrived. (Early November and the weather had turned chilly) I had to wear my coat while I ate dinner and also in the fining room for breakfast because of the cold.

The bed the bathroom the noise from the road, the way it was advertised breakfast included looked like a full English breakfast but was a very poor attempt at a continental ,was set out the night before all guests could handle the food Milk and juice in fridge no telling how long the cartons were open.very unhygienic .did not sleep for the bed squeaking every time you moved , and the bathroom door creaking.. We booked for two nights it was that bad we only stayed for one night, we had to look for another accommodation, has we were there for a funeral. It was the worst place we have ever stayed in,. Do not understand why Booking. Com recommend it and give it a high rating, needs to be inspected properly.

Room location on a busy road so traffic noise. Room and facilities would benefit enormously from some investment in decor, fittings and furnishings.
