Friendly, good food, nice atmosphere in an old building with character. Helpful staff.

Excellent value for money. Perfect old English pub, warm, cosy and good food.

Nothing to dislike really.

Traditional and characterful building, good ensuite shower room, decent set of draught beer in the bar downstairs, adequate parking, easy to use telly, broadband worked well.

Could have done with a cafetiere or similar to accompany the continental breakfast.

Staff were very friendly and we joined in their monthly quiz. Great fun

It was convenient for us as it was central to where we were going .it was comfortable and clean.

Last time we visited it was lovely breakfast .cooked and served in the dining room .this time it was continental breakfast on a tiny landing .the fruit was old and manky the supposedly fresh pastries were just one variety and there both days so we're not fresh .the tea and coffee was not refreshed so the second day there was no coffee .we had to fill the kettle for coffee from our room. .all in all it was very disappointing .when we left for our journey home there was no staff on the premises so had to leave via the restaurant and just leave the keys with another couple who were waiting for breakfast .very very disappointing. When we arrived we were told we would get cooked breakfast o the Sat morning but as I say at 9 o'clock nobody was even there so hence we left .

Good location, ample parking and easy to get to/find.

The room was very cold initially until I put the heating on. Also, there was no option for a cooked breakfast.
