The Crown Smallburgh

Staff were polite and friendly, particularly Crystal who was very welcoming on our arrival and went out of her way to provide information regarding the local bus service. The beds were comfortable, the food was freshly cooked and delicious and the pub overall was a beautifully kept piece of history.

There was no "ample wardrobe space" as per the description, we had to leave our clothes in the cases under the bed. The complimentary toiletries were removed from the room half used and not replaced, the spare toilet roll was removed leaving us without any, although towels were replaced daily, bins weren't emptied and the room wasn't cleaned during our stay. Self service breakfast was included with the room and was set up in a little annex but enough provisions were not left for the number of guests and no staff on site overnight until 10.30am.
