Sanu Home Stay is in deze prijsklasse een ongelooflijk fijne plek om te verblijven! De kamer en badkamer zijn zeer schoon, netjes en van alles voorzien. Het is fijn buiten zitten onder de veranda. De familie is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk en komt met goede suggesties en doen alles om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Het heerlijke, uitgebreide en gevarieerde ontbijt is onbegrepen en het is zeker de moeite waard om ook het diner in de home stay te gebruiken want de moeder kookt fantastisch. Het is mogelijk met de eigen tuktuk je overal naar toe te brengen, ook ‘s morgens vroeg wanneer je Lions Rock of Pidurangula wilt beklimmen. Zij brachten mij ook naar een andere berg die gratis is en waar je met een korte klim ook van de zonsondergang kunt genieten met uitzicht op Lions Rock. Bovendien is het mogelijk een magische olifanten safari te regelen waar ik niet zoveel van verwachtte maar een absolute aanrader bleek!!

Alles was perfect!! Niets te klagen.

One of the best places I stayed on Sri Lanka. A lovely home stay near to the main attractions in Sigiriya. The room was clean with comfortable bed and hot water. The family was super nice to me and they helped me even organize my trips (thanks to them I paid less prices than usual for elephant riding). Breakfast and dinner were simply the best I have had during my whole stay on the island, large and rich (the true Sri Lanka experience). If you are looking for a great accommodation, please visit Sanu home stay and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

Sanu Homestay it's the best accomodation I could have in Sigiriya, the place is an extension of the host's personality, calm, warm, kind and welcoming family. The 2 boys of the host, Hashan and Sanu, they are amazing kids, always polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner prepared by their mother was delicious and always too much for what I could eat :)) The host always made sure that I was comfortable, happy and relaxed! She loves to meet and greet the guests, then take care of them to make sure they are comfortable with their room away from home. She engages in a pleasant way, with the aim of making the stay as comfortable as possible! Thank you so much for everything and I definitely recommend Sanu Homestay!

I had a perfect stay with this fantastic family. Chandrika and her two sons are excellent hosts, very welcoming, nice and caring. They helped me organize my time in Sigiriya and my transport, even giving me a Tuktuk ride to the bus stop. The house is in a quiet area, the room was very clean and comfortable, and what to say about the food…! The breakfast was very big and delicious, and the dinner was incredible (and gigantic!) Definitely recommend!

Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt im Sanu Homestay. Es war alles super sauber und hat frisch gerochen. Das Haus liegt mitten in der Natur mit einem schönen Garten und trotzdem nicht weit von der touristischen Infrastruktur entfernt. Die Herzlichkeit der ganzen Familie hat uns sehr berührt. Chandrika ist eine ausgezeichnete Gastgeberin und ihr Essen schmeckt wirklich fantastisch. Unbedingt das Dinner probieren! Wir wünschen ihr und ihren Söhnen nur das Beste!

Host is super kind and generous and always on hand to help. Room was very spacious and had an en suite bathroom with a hot shower, which was much appreciated. It felt like a home away from home. The area is so peaceful and you can hear lots of birds tweeting, which gives it a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast spread was delicious and generously portioned. Thank you for having us!

The room was very clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The host and her family helped me with plans in the day and had good honest recommendations. Breakfast was very yummy and so much food! Dinner was available for an extra 2000 and was very tasty. I felt very looked well looked after. Highly recommend.

Great location, lovely host and family, and beautiful home. Helpful with giving us recommendations for places to go and helping us with arranging transportation to our next accommodation. Also woke up early both days to help us get to Pidurangala and the bus for our next journey Delicious, traditional dinners provided and very happy to help with anything needed

Host kindly offered to cook us a very delicious dinner and provided us with bottled water. However, we didn’t realise this was an extra cost so just be aware. All was charged at a fair price
