Beautiful little property on its own

No hot water not great when the shower turns cold whilst your in it getting ready for a wedding. Had to wash shampoo out in the sink. We contacted the number (no signal in house so husband drove down the road to get some for it to go to a central answering system. I emailed and they did get back to me but this was too late for the wedding.

Property was lovely everything was clean and tidy plenty of space for a couple

Could do with better heating system and tv in the bedroom would be a great addition

Lots of space, big bed, comfortable sitting room and bedroom. Dressing table to get ready. Very close to the location of the event we attended. Parking right outside.

The following comments are said in hopes that the property owners will make improvements for future guests: Can’t help the weather but the property was surrounded by fallen leaves, covering the property entry. Would have been nice if they had been swept to one side before we got there. Property could have been cleaner. The doorway strips (numerous) in the property had black dirt built up. Bathroom sink vanity unit top draw had not been cleaned. Waste pipe to the side of the toilet was dirty. Hot water also ran out whilst getting ready in the morning for event. Towels and sheets, I assume clean stored on the floor under the bed. Would have been nice to have some tissues or kitchen role on hand. Also I understand that not everyone will treat the property with respect but the communication from the owners on what to do and what not to do was a bit much and overwhelming. I have pictures to back up my comments.

Nicely furnished. Warm, cosy and tidy (plus very comfortable bed). Very convenient for attending events at Coombe Lodge which is a few minutes away on foot.

I absolutely loved the Lodge Gatehouse It was so unique and sad that we were only there for one night. The views are amazing as well I would love to go back.

Comfortable & spacious for a couple, pleasantly decorated. Nice kitchen area with basic utensils etc. Super large bed and good quality bedding. Clean fluffy carpets underfoot. Easy parking. Quite, private rural location.

No wardrobe for hanging clothes. No ‘lake view’!! Shower & bathroom in need of a bit of re-decoration and maintenance….shower head holder broken, toilet tissue holder fell off the wall, top of sink tap came off. Outside very dusty, weedy and lots of cobwebs (maybe to be expected due to rural location).
