Received a long notification of dos and don'ts which was quite off putting for someone who cares about respecting other people's things. This notification didn't include the demand for a deposit. This demand came at 9.14 the next morning which I didn't see until I arrived at 5pm and it said it had to be paid by 2pm. On arrival I was in the grounds of combe Lodge but this place is not there. So I called the number but no one answered. I had to be somewhere by 6pm and had half an hour. Finally I got a hold of someone who was foreign sounding, was a boiling hot day and a farm machinery mowing in a field so very hard to hear and understand her. She didn't understand 'flagpole' when I gave her that landmark nor did she know anout Coombe Lodge itself when i described it nd obviously doesn't know the geography. She wouldn't send the code for entry until I paid deposit. There's poor signal in the area so took a difficult job to get it paid. By now I'm late for my appointment and this woman couldn't understand or explain where I was to go. Got cut off for poor signal and she wouldn't pick up my call when I called back. Finally I went into Coombe House and was told this venue was nothing to do with them but directed me. This meant I was late for my appointment, overseeing at an auction, and caused a great deal of knock on stress. To add insult to injury while I was trying to do all this I got another message from then telling me they hope I enjoyed my stay and to vacate by 11am. I hadn't even got in yet!!!! There is no wardrobe so nowhere to hang clothes The outside/garden is badly maintained and looks a mess. There's no area to sit outside and no outside furniture. Smells like someone has smoked in the lounge No bedside lamps Plastic plants (pet hate) They expect you to basically clean the place for them or theyll take your deposit and in particular washing up but leave no means to do so.

Beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable in a stunning location. The communication before, during and after our stay was very good from the owners.

Location fantastic for Coombe lodge, good bed and a nice space to relax

Cleanliness very disappointing for a £40 cleaning fee. Bedroom carpet had leaves and debris and so many spiders and webs throughout. Key surfaces and bathroom were fine though

Lovely little cottage superbly located for Coombe Lodge. Bed was comfortable & rooms well furnished & clean. Superb for a short stay.

No oven gloves. Crockery & cutlery needed a good clean before using. Mould in shower needs some attention.

Very nicely furnished and convenient location for wedding venue

The shower didn't drain very well and almost overflowed, there were a lot of insects in the apartment, including a section with lots of ants all crawling on the wall which wasn't nice. Also no coffee pods provided for the coffee pod machine which was a shame. Was also a bit confused about the location and response to questions were slow.

So quaint and well thought out. Beautiful decorated and a super comfy bed. Perfect location for the wedding we attended. We only stayed one night and most of that time was up at Coombe Lodge.
