"Avoid at all costs. What an absolute dive."

1.0

Absolutely nothing. What a complete and utter dive of a place.

It was filthy when I arrived. Room wasn’t cleaned from previous guests. Despite a 4pm check-in it wasn’t “ready” until 5pm. Smashed glass on front door with no working lock. No hot water. Plug socket hanging off the wall. Showers were disgusting. Property hosts/owners didn’t care nor answer when issues were raised. Checked out early. Charged £7 “deposit” on check-in which was not refundable, so shouldn’t be branded as a deposit. Not mentioned during booking stage. The worst place I’ve stayed in my life.

"SCAM! AVOID"

1.0

SCAM SCAM SCAM! DO BOOK.

They asked for over £100 before check in. In their “ more info “ there is a lot of writing - they have written all fines numerically yet this extra non refundable deposit / insurance is written in letters so it very easily missed. Also it is unheard of to charge extra non refundable hidden costs. Also advert implys it’s private bathrooms, no they are shared. Misleading information I can’t believe booking. Com Allow them to advertise

"DON'T STAY HERE!"

1.0

Was close to the sea front

Was given the wrong room and refused to fix the situation saying that we had the right room (booked a quadruple and was given a triple) No hand soap in the bathroom No shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in the showers No toilet roll in the toilets Full dirty mop bucket left in the bathroom Chemicals left in the bathroom within reach of children No lights in the showers No TV in the room (was advertised to have one) No bin in the room Filthy mattresses Filthy floors Mushrooms growing out of the wall The front door didn't lock at all Had to pay extra just to get access to the room! The hotel has at least 4 different names Fire posters around the building out of date Reception uncontactable unless you spam the mobile number and not helpful at all Sink in room broken and "fixed" with tape

"Okay, a bit stressful."

4.0

The location was great. It wasn't to expensive for what it was.

The communication was the biggest issue, having to deal with automated text system was incredibly frustrating. Alot of things went wrong for example one of the codes for one of the bedrooms wasn't correct and to get this sorted took way over an hour. I had to provide everyone who was staying their ID & a £6 non refundable charge which wasn't explained before booking the apartment. This was an extra £70 and without paying it on time resulted in a fee and again, I couldn't speak to anyone which made this process very stressful. The apartment didn't look the same within the pictures on booking.com. There were no plates which were in the pictures! This made dinner a difficult experience. The apartment also had alot of dust and fruit flies! it wasn't unclean however it definitely hasn't been deep cleaned for a while. The bathroom was shared and was pretty disgusting but I'm assuming this is more due to the other guest that were staying. Overall I felt that the apartment was fine for what we used it for (30th birthday). This was because it wasn't to expensive and the location was great but I was very stressed trying to communicate with the hosts and wasn't overly impressed with the room not looking up to the online display pictures. Thank you.

"dangerous, not secure and put us at risk"

1.0

Title: Unsafe, Unsanitary, and Misrepresented – Do Not Book I booked this property for me and my friends for the night of 9th August, and our experience was absolutely unacceptable. The apartment was unsafe, dirty, and nothing like the pictures or description. Safety Concerns: The building was completely insecure. The door handle and code lock were broken or could be easily forced open, allowing people from the street to walk straight into the hallways. Men attempted to enter our bedroom and bathroom multiple times during the day and night. We were genuinely scared for our safety, and ended up leaving early in the morning after contacting a friend’s parent to pick us up. Windows were not secure and could be opened from the outside, and the “soundproof” rooms did not block any noise. People outside could see directly into the bathrooms because there were no blinds or coverings. Cleanliness & Condition: The property was dirty, smelled badly, and was in poor condition overall. The private bathroom we were promised was not in our room, but down the hallway. It was filled with laundry bags stacked from floor to ceiling. While some were moved after reporting, many remained, and there was blood smeared on the wall beside the toilets. Toilets and showers were unclean, with tampons, random underwear, and bras left in cubicles. Shower water was distributed all over the bathroom. Noise & Disturbance: People from the street and other guests were constantly making noise, shouting, and trying to enter rooms. None of us could sleep due to safety concerns and noise. Misrepresentation: The apartment’s listing on Booking.com was misleading. It claimed private bathrooms, secure entry, and a safe environment, none of which were true. We have since learned the building is also used for homeless accommodation and is located near addiction housing. This property is unsafe for guests, especially women, and Booking.

I brought my 6-year-old daughter here as she likes to stay in hotels as a treat. She chose this place for the Princess themed room. The room was fine. As an adult, I noticed lots of negatives, but as from a 6 year old point of view, she enjoyed the decor.

This is very evidently being currently used as a homeless accommodation. Whilst the 2 themed rooms are catered to hen/stag parties, etc, the rooms upstairs are currently filled with homeless families. Absolutely fine. I appreciate all families needing accommodation. What I do not appreciate is not being notified of this. The noise was insane (Wednesday night). Our room door was right by the entrance to the building. We heard domestic arguments outside our door, one women sat right outside our door for an hour to argue on the phone (1am), another women left at 7:30am screaming through the building that she's refusing to have her children stay her with "crack heads & nonces". The list could go on with the noise complaints, and that's just inside the building, well outside the room. The room is tatty at least, wallpaper ripped, stickers on the ceiling and the door left over from parties, decor hanging off and damaged. No TV remote. The door is so stiff to open that I thought we were locked in on two occasions. Shared bathroom. No toilet roll in the morning. People washing their used pots and pans in the sink from breakfast. Honestly, it's like camping (which I love by the way, I just didn't expect to experience it here. Especially for £100 a night) Check-in is a nightmare. The WhatsApp messages look like a scam, so much so that even my bank refused payment on one of my cards due to them fearing it was fraudulent activity. These additional fees are not mentioned anywhere on booking.com. The instructions you receive through WhatsApp are worrying. They demand a photo of your bank card and a photo of your ID. How is this even acceptable? (I eventually sent proof of payment instead) Thankfully, after 30 minutes of trying, a very kind woman who is staying here with her children helped me. Also, on the wifi's info, it states free late check out. This is a lie.
