Luxury City Apartment in JQuarter Birmingham

Hello, I’m not satisfied with this outcome, your customer service procedure is poor. AI agents are poor and have delayed me to speaking to customer services all morning. I waited 20 minutes to be put through then the advisor put the phone down. I was told by one of your agents yesterday if the accommodation doesn’t offer a full refund then it would be provided by booking.com due to misadvertising I would like to make a formal complaint against the accommodation and I would like a refund in full. Upon booking the room I was told I would need to pay a security deposit of £350 through bank transfer which I thought was an unfit way to take a deposit, but I did try to pay the deposit the account number didn’t match up with the account name and flagged up as fraudulent payment on my bank upon asking if they’re was a solution with the accommodation they told me to cancel the room for £60 instead of trying to find me a solution I feel like this is totally unprofessional and seems like they just wanted my money and not to assist. As I said I’m not happy with the resolution as once again they’ve tried to get me cover cancellation fees when the mistake and the unprofessional approach is on their end. I will not be letting this go until I am compensated fully with my full refund like the customer service agent promised me yesterday. Thank you Sent from my

Worst property. Very high deposit. Bed was broken bath was already broken then tried blaming us and kept most of the deposit

The location was very discreet and the apartment itself was so clean and well kept.

I need a refund as we could not gain access to the accommodation

The apartment was clean, modern and pleasant. I’d recommend a short stay in the apartment for sure, feels like a safe area too! I had no issues with the £250 deposit which was refunded promptly on checkout day. Although this did make me very nervous! I wonder if there could be a better more secure way of doing this. Personally, owner was prompt at replying to my emails & messages.

Navigation - Was driving around for an hour and 20 mins going round and round looking for the apartment as there are several blocks of flats around there. Main issue was finding the parking which I had paid the owner £12 for. Instructions from owner were mostly clear upon reading but to actually physically find it once you’re there was very confusing. Instructions consisted of finding the shutter and manually opening from the inside but there are several shutters, garages and driveways next to each other and the shutter right next to our block entrance actually said ‘no entry’ which is confusing. You must collect the key from Radjoot FIRST, gain access to building so you can open the shutter and drive in to park, impossible to do if you’re by yourself because it would mean leaving your car unattended in a narrow one-way alley whilst you go into the building and open the shutter. After lots of messages trying to explain, the owner texted me some photos which were very helpful and solved the issue immediately, so I would recommend getting these photos in advance! The owner did get a little annoyed with me stating I should have organised this in advance as they had a family event… how can it be organised in advance when I don’t live in the area, I was always going to get lost going there for the first time. The key is also located away from the property which some may not expect. Toiletries - no toiletries available. Does lack other amenities and comforts.

Scam - owner will not give you keys unless you send £250 to his personal bank account, we never ended up staying because other reviews said the owner scammed them too
