Owls Retreat, Meadowview House

We had a wonderful one-day stay at this holiday farmhouse. The place is surrounded by a beautiful pond and lush nature, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The sunrise and sunset views were absolutely breathtaking and made our stay even more special. One of the highlights was spending the evening in the beautiful glass dome seating area. It was incredibly romantic, especially under the night sky, and created a peaceful atmosphere that we’ll always remember. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended, and we would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay in this shepherd’s hut. It was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were a lovely couple - welcoming, friendly, and clearly take great pride in what they offer. The hut itself was incredibly comfortable, peaceful, and perfectly set up for a relaxing break. Even during the recent heat, it stayed beautifully cool thanks to the gentle breeze rolling off the hills- it felt like having our own natural air conditioning. A truly special place to stay, and we would happily return!

Nothing not to like

Owls retreat is exceptional, the hut is cosy and beautifully furnished. It is set within gorgeous grounds, a highlight for us was spending the evening sitting in the pod with a drink. Ian and Jan were lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome, and we enjoyed the character of the setting and the friendly animals. We highly recommended and will definitely return!

Everything was perfect!

Absolutely stunning location. Very quiet grounds and very well maintained. Loads of places to just relax and enjoy the stunning views.

The owners are a loverly couple. Very well presented and polite. Passionate about the venue and upkeep. It was mine and my partners wedding night and they provided balloons, banners and even cards. Such a loverly secluded space and very warming and welcoming atmosphere
