The Garden room

Kimmy was absolutely fantastic and couldn't help us enough. Recommending places to go and top places to eat was really useful. It was lovely to arrive to a basket of food and all the kitchen amenities we could need. A really lovely family friendly atmosphere that felt like nothing was too much of an ask.

Even went the extra mile a gave us a lift to the venue! Lovely little cosy place to stay, clean and that bed was so comfy!! Brilliant communication Kim couldn’t have done any more to have made our stay any better! Thanks for having us!

It had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. It was lovely having a garden for our little Ruby (Cavapoo). James also made me a temporary step so that I could get in and out of the lodge easier. I have mobility issues, so this was greatly appreciated. The shower was gorgeous, the bed was comfy, breakfast items left were very appreciated. It was lovely hearing the birds tweeting in the trees, we also had a visit from a hedgehog on the first night. Ruby was fascinated!! It was great to meet the hosts James and Kimmy and their 2 gorgeous dogs Squirrel and Magpie. Super cute. They left us in peace, but we knew they were there if we needed them. It was a great location. Close to the High Street full of cafes, restaurants and takeaways. At the other end of the High Street, there is an Aldi, Lydl, Greggs and a huge industrial estate full of other shops and businesses. There was a fantastic garage called Paul Richards Motors who replaced our Auxiliary belt which snapped just as we were going to head home.

Compact but comfy and all you need. Short walk into town centre. Very quiet, charming hosts.

The breakfast was very good. The Garden Room is a 2 minute walk from Honiton high street and just perfect for what I wanted.

I’d have liked a TV but I think Kimmy was having one installed just after I left. Somewhere to hang clothes would have been good, but there probably isn’t the room. It was fine for my visit though.
