The Hive Great Yarmouth

A short distance to the beach, and about a 20 minute walk to the pleasure beach and activities. The Hive is very clean and the room very spacious. The dining area was great with a microwave and fridge, nice buffet breakfast, tea and coffee when ever you want it. Pet friendly which was great.

It was more like a hostel as the kitchen was in the centre and the bedrooms were off the kitchen and the bathrooms were shared and down the hallway away from the bedrooms It was very clean nice choice of continental breakfast and the bed was comfortable The host was very nice I think it is more geared towards a young family than older people

Matresses uncomfortable amd duvet was a little heavy for time of year.

The location and the breakfast were okay. The shower was very powerful.

The flooring was very uneven inside and there was a problem with water from the shower leaking out into the hallway. The other guests were incredibly noisy and inconsiderate which wasn't ideal with us having a toddler trying to sleep and the room itself was uncomfortably hot. We noticed that when we arrived the heating was on in the hallway. There was also a bucket outside the front door the next day full of cigarette ends and bottle caps which explains all the noise late the previous night. And a bag of dog poo was just left next to the bucket out the front as well. Overall it was just an uncomfortable and noisy stay.

It was very clean and beds were so comfy! There was a lovely selection for breakfast in the morning and you could help yourself to tea and coffee. The hosts were absolutely lovely and were on hand if we needed anything! It was very easy to check in. I like that it’s pet friendly too!!

There’s not really anything I can say that was bad apart from an en-suite would have been easier for us but they were in the middle of renovations and I know there will be one soon! It’s a bit far down the seafront near the pleasure beach end so can be a bit of a walk but that’s not a huge issue!

They thought about everything you may need during your stay, some care has gone into this place. Good breakfast spread, very clean. Sweeties and books for the little ones. Perfect for family stay.

The Hive is away from the busy area but its only a short walk to the pleasure beach and the beach. The room was very clean and spacious, we loved the dining area and being able to sit and eat at a table instead of in our room. Everything is as advertised. Also the biggest plus is the later check out time of 11am, it made our morning feel less rushed and chaotic
