We really enjoyed the size of the property. It felt like we were the only people staying there most of the time.

Occasionally the hot water wasn’t hot.

What a wonderful stay here. The staff was awesome, kind, and very attentive. The food was great, varied, and abundant; however, the breakfast could have more variety and more Mexican options. At first, I was hesitant about not having a huge buffet selection, but the à la carte option was much better in terms of quality and freshness. The steaks were out of this world! The drink and bar menu was very complete, and the bartenders at both the Aqua Bar and the Hotel Bar were amazing. They were always kind and provided excellent service. We did not have many issues securing pool chairs, unlike some reviews mentioned. However, occupancy was not full during our stay, and I can see how it could get busy quickly with higher hotel occupancy. A big shoutout to Franco, a passionate and amazing cocktail master. Seriously, have him make you some unique drinks. His technique is insanely good. Also, shoutout to Jorge and Gabriel at the pool, and to our butler, Alfonso. They made our stay feel magical and enjoyable. Thank you for your dedication and always kind attitude! We would definitely come back in the future!

The outlets on the room were loose, so if you are using any multiport charger, that won't work and it's annoying. We had the same issue with the hair dryer.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the outrageous attitude and disgraceful policies the resort has exhibited regarding modifications and cancellations to my reservation. This isn’t just about "no exceptions." It’s a blatant, ruthless cash grab where the resort prioritizes profit over basic fairness and respect for customers. Squeezing every goddamn dollar from guests under unjust, unreasonable terms is outright unacceptable. Let me make this crystal clear: Booking.com is a third-party platform that does NOT run or operate the resort. I’ve confirmed with them directly that any decisions about cancellations or modifications rest entirely with the resort directly. The pathetic attempts to deflect blame onto Booking.com are dishonest and misleading—a serious red flag for anyone considering staying at this resort. If the resort actually want to retain clients and earn genuine recommendations, they need to take ownership of their policies and the real-world impact on guests. They approach is driving customers straight into their competitors’ arms, not building any loyalty. Furthermore, due to the recent cartel violence creating a dangerous environment in Mexico, even the US government advises against travel there. I had no choice but to alter my plans—would anyone in their right mind willingly travel to a place where they might feel unsafe, face violence, or get stranded? This is not my fault, and your intransigence under these circumstances is nothing short of callous. Bottom line: I will not recommend your resort to anyone.

The staff is so attentive. I had dental surgery during my stay and they were eager to assist me in any way they couple. Kept my ice packs in their lobby freezer. I can’t say enough about how awesome they are.

The only thing I would suggest is adding a seating area along the oceanfront of the property that isn’t located on the beach or by the pool. It would be nice to have a comfortable chair on the grass. At times, I didn’t want to sit by the pool, on the beach, or in a restaurant, and a quieter, more relaxed option would have been appreciated.

Let’s start with the main issue, because everything else reflects the same underlying problem — a complete lack of accountability and service standards. I am entitled to a complimentary room upgrade via my Booking.com status, and this was already confirmed prior to arrival. Booking.com followed up with the hotel multiple times through both calls and emails, and I personally attempted to contact the hotel repeatedly as well. However, the hotel did not respond to messages sent via Booking.com at all, and calls rarely connected to an actual staff member. At check-in, Arturo, the Reception Supervisor handling us, was unhelpful and repeatedly insisted that Booking.com needed to reach out to the hotel — which they already had. He stated that he had verified internally and that the hotel had received nothing at all. This directly contradicts what Booking.com confirmed to me, which is that they had contacted and updated the hotel multiple times. Despite this clear discrepancy, there was no effort to investigate further or resolve the issue on-site. Instead, responsibility continued to be deflected, leaving us without any solution. He further claimed the hotel was fully booked and stated that even if a better room was provided, we would need to change rooms daily due to full occupancy. This statement was misleading and did not reflect the actual situation. Over the following days, it was clear the resort was not full — there were visibly empty rooms, pool areas were not crowded, and the overall environment did not reflect high occupancy. Instead of honoring a confirmed upgrade, we were presented with two options: a paid “upgrade” at USD $30 per night, or a very poor 2nd floor room facing a large round jacuzzi structure that blocked the entire ocean view -take into consideration the room is called Oceanfront room. This felt like a deliberate tactic — present an undesirable room to push guests into paying for an upgrade they were already entitled to.
