Sunset Plaza Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive

Location of my suite and the service from the staff

Shower never got hot. The microwave need updating and every amenities given had to be order through the main staff.

It was in a great location and food/drinks were delicious. The staff was one of the best we have seen and we have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts.

Only reason I did not give a perfect score on the review was because our whole section of the tower did not have hot (or even warm) water for 3 days of our 7 day trip. They are doing construction on one of the towers and that construction messed something up with the water temperature.

Food was decent enough. With a bit of variety. Buffet breakfast was poor though.

Construction is going from like 8am to the evening every day.

-Ubicación: buena. Esta a 17 minutos del aeropuerto en Uber y cerca al Centro también. -Habitaciones: hay dos torres conectadas. Un ala más antigua y otra nueva que aún está en construcción (lo cual a veces genera ruido por si puede generar molestias). Notoriamente las habitaciones nuevas son mucho más bonitas, pero ambas están bien. Todas tienen vista a la playa. El aire acondicionado 10/10. El aseo de las habitaciones 10/10. -Es un sitio ideal para parejas o adultos. No tiene mayor entretenimiento para niños ni jóvenes.

-Comida: normal. Ningún plato exquisito pero tampoco malo. Opciones limitadas. La calefacción del agua de la ducha es regular, sale un poco tibia pero no caliente.

Staff, facilities, food

Pool was a little cold and the coffee was not good

We really enjoyed the bakery cafe with fresh fruit and baking, offering light breakfast fare. The panini's were lovely. The pizza was also fresh made dough and light. A bit heavy on the cheese, but overall very good. We enjoyed the small size of the resort, which was perfect for a short stay. Our room was very nice and modern in the new building. Fantastic views from anywhere. It was low season when we were there, but no wait at the main breakfast/dinner venue, where a la carte meals were good. Nice place for a quick trip with close proximity to the airport and a very nice beach space.

Would love to see some more palapas on the beach with actual loungers. space was a little tight at the adult pool, but assume this is somewhat impacted by the ongoing construction. Construction was ongoing, but we had expected that, having more lounger on the beach might help mitigate this to be able to get away from the daily construction. Brewed coffee was a little weaker than I would normally expect in Mexico! more options for espresso's and specialty coffees would be a nice touch.

Older Resort that needs upgrades. Limited food options.

Excellent facilities, great food selection, very helpful and courteous staff, several nicely maintained pools, good bar. Hard to beat, especially at this price.

Guests were “reserving” pool chairs at 7am with their towels and other belongings, but they were not using them until the afternoon or sometimes all day. Hotel should do something to discourage guests from this practice to let those who actually want to be by the pool have access to seating.

Good beach access. Decent food. Comfortably rooms.

Required me to pay $700 for an additional person even though reservation was made for a room for two people. All but one staff member was rude. Sneaky methods to sneak money out of you. For example, connected to premium WiFi by accident and was charged despite immediately disconnecting.

Incredible staff that were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They truly made the experience incredible when travelling with my wife and our 4 month old son. The atmosphere at the resort is also great. Good location in downtown with some great taco stands nearby and a short drive from Zona Romantica.

The resort is a little small but directly on the beach so that helps.
